Obituary of Sister Ann Marie Gordon

Sister Ann Marie Gordon, affectionately called “Angie 63", transitioned to her heavenly home on Monday, July 17, 2023 in Boston, MA. Ann Marie was born on May 16, 1960 in Spanish Town, Jamaica to Jeremiah Gordon and Elfreda Francis. She was the 3rd of 6 children.

Sister Ann Marie grew up in Spanish Town, Jamaica, where she worked as a Higgler and also raised her 4 children including one adopted son. She later officially moved to the US in 2015 and worked as a Nurse Assistant in New Jersey, New York and Massachusetts.

Sister Ann Marie became a servant of God in 2016 and a member of the Mission Church of Christ in Somerville and also a member of Spring of Water Christian Assembly in Randolph, where she worked in the Learning Center as an assistant teacher until her passing. She enjoyed worshipping, praying and religiously attending Sunday services.

She was a nuturing, loving and compassionate woman with the most beautiful smile that would light up everyone's soul around her. She was a person you could go to for advice and whenever you were in need, she knew just what to do or say. Her love transformed the lives of all those who had the opportunity to experience it. Ann Marie was passionate about cooking and enjoyed making some of the best home cooked Jamaican meals.

She loved her family and most of all she loved and adored her children and granddaughter. When she spoke of them to people, you could see pure radiant, joy flowing from her. They were her world and she wanted nothing more than the best for them in life.

We have loss a Driving Force in our lives and there are no words to express the deep sorrow and loss we feel. Ann Marie is survived by her 4 children, Lysimbah, Dezzann and Antonio, her adopted son Jevon and granddaughter Damaihlia, sisters, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends (USA and Jamaica).
