Sunrise Sunset

March 5, 1960 – March 25, 2025

Daryl Golston was born on March 5, 1960, in Greensboro, North Carolina to Fredrick and Margaret Golston. He grew up in the Columbia Point Housing Development in Boston, Massachusetts alongside his siblings Patricia, Seigfred, Fredricka, Geno, Penny, and Crystal.

From a young age, Daryl stood out for his ambition and intelligence. He was always achieving something or standing up for a cause. He attended Madison High School, where he excelled in both academics and sports and was voted "Most Likely to Become Famous" thanks to his magnetic personality. At 18, he acted in a play that aired on national television titled "Dark Side of the Road."

After graduating, Daryl chose to serve his country by joining the United States Navy. Following his service, he became an electrician at Raytheon in Andover, MA. Never one to stop learning, Daryl later earned a certificate in Community Development from Harvard University.

Daryl was passionate about his community. He served on the Codman Square Neighborhood Council and regularly volunteered at local food banks and the Youth Village Conservatory. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to create the Columbia Pointe Committee, an initiative that raised funds to help recent graduates with college expenses. He was also well known for organizing the vibrant and beloved Pointe Reunion Parties, which brought joy and unity to the neighborhood.
