OBITUARY

KEVIN SCOTT

Sunrise - Sunset

February 13, 1965 July 17, 2025

Kevin Scott entered this world on February 13, 1965 at Boston City Hospital. He was called home on July 17, 2025.His parents, Mary (Wright) and William Scott, Sr. raised him in the South End of Boston alongside his three older sisters and younger brother.

Kevin graduated from Boston High School in 1983. As part of Boston High School’s work study program, Kevin worked at some of Boston‘s largest corporations. Upon graduation from high school, he became a full-time employee of the First National Bank of Boston. After nearly a decade with the bank, and with a growing family, Kevin decided it was time for a change and would eventually move on to work for the City of Boston.

It was at the First National Bank of Boston where Kevin met and pursued the young lady he would later marry, Angela Singleton. To their union, five amazing children were born; Cory, Kenneth, Joseph, Matthew, and Alyssa Scott. Kevin was also a loving father to his oldest son, Kevin C. Scott, born to Brenda Williams.

Kevin had an infectious personality that could make anyone laugh, from strangers at the supermarket to lifelong friends. He was a devoted Boston sports fan who bled Patriots red and Celtics green, and he had a collection of truly questionable ties that perfectly matched his vibrant character.

Kevin was predeceased by his parents, Mary Scott and William Scott, Sr. as well as his sisters, Mary Christine Williams, and Miriam Carolyn Scott.

To mourn his passing and live out the Scott legacy, Kevin leaves his children: Kevin (Toya), Cory (Mary), Kenneth, Joseph, Matthew and Alyssa.

He also leaves Angela Singleton-Scott, his siblings Esther Scott and William Scott, Jr., a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and three beautiful granddaughters: Ky’Asia, Amayah and Marayah.

Kevin didn’t make friends, he collected brothers and sisters. We won’t list them all here for fear of leaving someone out, but we want you to know that he isn’t the only one who appreciated the friendship, guidance, love and support you’ve shown him, and us, over the very many years.
