Jumeesha Lee Young

Sunrise - Sunset December 5, 1973 March 26, 2025

Jumeesha Lee Young, 51 , was born on December 5th, 1973, in Boston, Massachusetts, to Diana Young from St. Louis, Missouri and James Moses from Florence, South Carolina. She transitioned from this life on March 26, 2025 in Boston, Ma.

Jumeesha was a native of Boston, Massachusetts, where she lived all her life. She was educated in the Boston Public School System and Boston school for the deaf, where she graduated 1991 and learned sign language as a second language. She worked at Goodwill for 15 years, Starbucks for 10 years, and the famous Boston Red Sox for 7 years. She was a dedicated aunt and helped take care of her nieces & her nephews.

Jumeesha love to travel in her spare time. Several years ago her health started declined; she was unable to work, but the illness still didn’t keep her from doing the things she loved: going to church and spending time with family.

Jumeesha was a friendly, outgoing person. She loved to make jokes, talk junk to everyone but it was all out of love to family and friends, had a strong sense of humor and that contagious smile lit up the room.

Jumeesha is survived by her parents, Diana Young and James Moses; Sister Kayette Jones- Young, grandmothers Martha Lane; Step-siblings Tonya (Keith), Jamie, Michelle, and Amenia; and Marri; nieces Chaquita, Karanda, and Quaneisha; nephew Marquis; aunties and uncles Mary, Alfreda, Nellie(Elroy), Vera, Veoncille, Vidia , Raithien, John M.,Levi, Callie (Mattie), John(Caren) Frederick(Shirley), Lorenzo,, Michael and a host of step-nieces & nephews, cousins, friends, and others!

Predeceased: Grandmother Jannie Foxx, Step-mother, Mary E. Givens; Aunts: Cathy, Frankie, Lorraine, Joanne, Pam; Uncles: Theodus, Robert JR.
