“I Have Fought A Good Fight I Have Finished The Race I Have Kept The Faith”
Stanley was born in Boston, MA to Annie Smith and Wilbert Herbin Jr. Stanley was the youngest of two sisters. Stanley grew up in Jamaica Plain, where he was loved and known by many.
Stanley furthered his education and got a trade in construction, where he worked for a good period of his life.
Stanley was stubborn but wise and loved making memories with family and friends; he enjoyed music and food, mostly just having a good time.
His hobbies were cooking, reading, listening to music, and playing basketball. He also enjoyed the nice weather and just being outdoors.
His primary goal over the last few years was to get his family together for a family reunion. But in an unexpected event, he didn’t have the opportunity to accomplish that.
Stanley had two daughters who he loved dearly and a granddaughter whom he cherished very much.
Stanley was survived by his mother, Annie Smith, and two sisters, Rose Scott and Jacqueline Smith. Two daughters, Daphne Jackson and Tynaisha Robinson, Granddaughter
Sa’riyah Jackson, his best friend Peaches Stokes, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
I know that no matter what You will always be with me. When life separates us
I’ll know it is only your soul
Saying goodbye to your body
But your spirit will be with me always.
When I see a bird chirping on a nearby branch I know it is you singing to me. When a butterfly brushes gently by me so care freely
I will know it is you a ssuring me you are free from pain.
When the gentle fragrance of a flower catches my attention
I know it is you reminding me
To appreciate the simple things in life.
When I hear the rain pitter patter against my windows sill
I will hear your words of wisdom
And will remember what you taught me so well Without rain flowers cannot bloom
Without life’s challenges I cannot grow strong.
When I look out to the sea
I will think of your endless love for your family. When I think of mountains, their majesty and magnificence
I will think of your courage for your country. No matter where I am
Your spirit will be beside me
For I know that no matter what You will always be with me.
