3: 1-5
To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:
2 A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted;
3 A time to kill, And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up;
4 A time to weep, And a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, And a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones,
And a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing;
TESTAMENT~John 14: 1-4
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you.
I go to prepare a place for you.
Richard C Shelton, 80 also affectionately known as "Fast" was born in Alexandria, LA on May 19, 1943, to Annie Williams and Richard Shelton. After his moms passing, he moved to Ohio where he laid most of his roots. He would later relocate to Boston where he spent most of his life and remained in Boston after a six-year relocation to Miami, FL to pursue his professional golf career of over 50 years and entrepreneurial goals where he owned and operated a record shop.
In coming years, he returned to Massachusetts where he joined the security team at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and later retired, after 33 years of service and was named the "Mayor of Spaulding" by the Mayor of Boston. Richard enjoyed the finer things in life and if there is a dancing and dressing contest in heaven, he will be in 1st place. There was no one he would not help when he could and he loved his children so if it looks like he had a lot, almost too many to mention then it’s because he loved yours like his own.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.”
He peacefully transitioned on April 30, 2024, as he was called to his final resting place. Richard is predeceased by his parents and leaves to cherish his memory: two sons Timothy Shields (Donta) Of Ohio, Richard Shelton Of VA; three Daughters Twona Wilson of Ohio, Fatima Matthews (Maurice) Of Ohio, Rasheada Shelton of VA extended family daughters Jennifer, Chantette, Alexandria, Misty, Taj Of MA, Sonji (Eli) Of VA, and Lakeshia of MA, Son Rich-ard Starks of CA; Ten Grand-children Terrance, Patricia (Jon), Ezekkio, Earnest, Tywon, Glenn, Tia, Isreal, Tamaryah, Adonious and great grandchildren, life partner & Significant other Anita Criswell and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and the entire golf community.
