Ralph William Hewlett born in Philadelphia, PA on December 21, 1969, passed away unexpectedly on January 15, 2025. Ralph was the beloved son of the Vernon Bennett Sr. and Henrietta Clark Hewlett.
Ralph was predeceased in death by his father, Vernon Bennett Sr. and his beloved brother, Vernon Bennett, Jr.
Ralph is survived by his mother, Henrietta Clark Hewlett, His son, Malcolm Hewlett, and former wife, Elise Hewlett. He also leaves his uncle, William Clark, Jr. his sisters: Darlene, Ruthie, Jean, Tamika, Kim, Vernell and Michelle; his brothers: Henry, Tyhee, Jade, Michael, Aaron and his brothers-in-law: Richard, Bernard, and Timothy in addition to his sister-in-law, Kay.
Ralph will also be cherished by the Clark Family: Jessie, Penny, William, Preston, Marco and Yvonne, and his companion, Laura Lemieux, as well as, Andrea Waller. His memory will live on in his nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Ralph attended the School District of Philadelphia Schools and graduated from West Philadelphia University City High School. A constant learner, Ralph believed in working hard to better himself and enjoy life to the fullest. Ralph was known as a car enthusiast and a fan of motorcycles. In fact, he was so enthused by high powered vehicles that he became a member of the Motorcycle Club in Philadelphia, PA of which he remained for many years.
The joy of learning and affinity of vehicles made Ralph happy. However, a travel event to Boston resulted in an unexpected meeting of the former Elise Kirkman which led to a courtship and marriage. Over time, the couple would settle down in Lynn, MA. Their relationship consummated a bright and handsome son (Malcolm).
Ralph held many management positions at various organizations inclusive of Interpark and Standard Parking before starting a long tenured career at Harvard University which spanned over 18 years. He loved his job, colleagues and working with college students.
Ralph enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, listening to music and traveling. He was a full of life person that will be truly missed!
