Processional Opening Blessings-Moderators Congregation Hymn-“I’ll Fly Away” Time of Worship-Arriel Hall, granddaughter Invocation-Rev. Emma Christie ~Old Testament Scripture- Rayon Hall, grandson~ Psalm 90:1-12 90 Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth,or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. 3 Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men. 4 For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night. 5 Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up. 6 In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up;in the evening it is cut down, and withereth. 7 For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled. 8 Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance. 9 For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told. 10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. 11 Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath. 12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. 2

~New Testament Scripture-Kehdron Hall, grandson~ 13

1 Thessalonians 4:13-17

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

I’ll Fly Away

Some bright morning when this life is over, I'll fly away To a land on God's celestial shore, I'll fly away I'll fly away, oh glory, I'll fly away When I die, hallelujah by and by, I'll fly away When the shadows of this life have gone, I'll fly away Like a bird from these prison walls I'll fly, I'll fly away I'll fly away, oh glory, I'll fly away When I die, hallelujah by and by, I'll fly away Oh how glad and happy when we meet, I'll fly away No more cold iron shackles on my feet, I'll fly away I'll fly away, oh glory, I'll fly away When I die, hallelujah by and by, I'll fly away Just a few more weary days and then, I'll fly away To a land where joy will never end, I'll fly away I'll fly away, oh glory, I'll fly away When I die, hallelujah by and by, I'll fly away.

OBITUARY

Mother Asineth Hall Asineth Hall, born Asineth Archer, and affectionately known as Tess, Mommy (pronounced "mummy"), and Sister or Mother Hall by many, was the 5th of 11 siblings. She was born in the village of Aboukir, in the parish of St Ann’s, Jamaica, on October 31,1936 to Joslyn and Advira K. Archer. Tess was a powerful woman of God with an amiable personality. In her late teens she caught the attention of a handsome farmer, George Hall. Smitten at first sight, George pursued Asineth but she was initially hesitant to reciprocate. Having recently given birth to her young baby girl, Asineth was too busy taking care of her child to spend any time considering George's overtures. However, George persisted in his attempts to court Asineth. He frequently came around the house offering whatever help he could to the family and aiding Tess with the baby. His persistence paid off. Asineth soon relented and fell deep in love with George. Just a short while into their courtship, George communicated his intentions to Asineth's family and asked her for her hand in marriage. She accepted and they were wed on April 2, 1958. Their union produced six additional children, one girl and five boys. Ever persistent in being a great wife and improving opportunities for her family, Asineth migrated to the United States in 1970 with her eldest daughter Lorraine to join her husband, George, who had already established himself as a hard-working construction worker in Boston, Massachusetts. Asineth was relentless in her pursuit to bring along her five other living children to join her in Boston. After a couple years she next managed to gain green cards for her second oldest daughter, Joan, her eldest son Raymond and her youngest son, Oscar. Eventually, she managed to get her remaining two sons, Robert, and then Lloyd with her in Boston. While living in Jamaica, Asineth attended the Aboukir New Testament Church of God "COG" where she was active in a variety of ministries. However, with the move to Boston, she realized there were no established English-speaking COG congregations. Nevertheless, with ministry in her heart, she shared a vision with her husband to find a house of worship that their young family could call home. She had no ministerial credentials, but she had an enormous zeal for ministry. They thrust themselves into building up the body of Christ. Asineth was an instrumental congregant in the first English-speaking COG in the Boston area, as part of the English-speaking COG established in Somerville, MA. After a split, most of the congregants moved churches to Center Street in Jamaica Plain. A pastor from Jamaica and cousin of Asineth, Pastor Roberts, who was looking to move to the United States, established a new small congregation in Boston with the aid of the State overseer, Pastor Langford, along with the dedicated work of Asineth and a handful of other congregants. They did not have an actual church site so they held bible study in members' homes; mainly Asineth's house, until they simply could no longer accommodate the fast-growing group of church members. Asineth, along with Pastor Roberts, set out to find a space that could serve as the site for the church. They found a location on Stoughton Street, in Boston and secured the building. With the hard work of Brother Hall, brother Messam and many members of the church, they managed to transform the location, which was originally a laundromat, into their new church. Over the years, Stoughton Street Church grew tremendously and was instrumental in

establishing members who eventually went on to start their own COG congregations. In addition to the Stoughton St Church of God, she was instrumental in the planning and development of several other churches in the Boston area, including the House of Deliverance, Somerville Church of God (now Greater Works). From her childhood in Jamaica throughout her many years of attending church when she moved to the US, Sister Hall sang in the choir and taught Sunday school. She was also a tremendous resource in the Women's Ministry serving as President at Stoughton Street NTCOG. It is no exaggeration to say that Asineth was one of the most encouraging women you could ever hope to. meet. She counselled many people in and out of the church and was always known to punctuate her statements with "Well, Praise The Lord".
