2ND AMENDMENT
MY RANT TO START 2021
CONTINUED FROM PAGE 28 With the swipe of a pen from some self-righteous bureaucrat in a high and mighty, unelected office has the audacity to sit back and not go after criminals, but to make good people enemies of the law. But don’t worry because those who have these accessories on their firearms may have the opportunity to please the king and register them with a zero-cost tax stamp! Of course, that all depends on the caliber of the firearm, specifics that have not been disclosed to the public. So, register to play and win your chance at joining the ATF’s further attempt at a nationwide gun registry.
I’m someone who truly tries to be reasonable. I try to look at the facts and then examine how those facts affect culture, perceived realities, and the situation’s actual realities. I try to stay grounded in my beliefs but open-minded to hear from and possibly grow from

other viewpoints.
With that said, I hope it’s becoming more apparent now the issues at hand here. This isn’t just about rights. This also isn’t something that the people can just bend over and take anymore. This is real, and this is happening. And this isn’t going to end soon.
I’m not sure if I’m able to publicly call for the disbandment of an unjustified, unelected, and unethical federal office on this platform, but in a better world, I wouldn’t have to.
Godspeed, Rev.
P.S. I hope I’m wrong. I hope none of this comes to fruition. I hope none of these Dominoes are lined up together. Because once one falls, they all will. I’m anxiously waiting to see what January 2021 will bring.

THE WORD
Finding Peace Amid Chaos
BY DR. ROBERT OWENS
Rudyard Kipling in If, which I believe is the best poem ever written, begins, “If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you,” setting the stage for a recitation of the human qualities needed to rise above circumstances. These are the types of mature actions and reactions visible when the shifting tides of daily life don’t toss us about like a piece of driftwood in the surf. Maturity provides stability and confidence not shaken by the ebb and flow of change marking life’s boundaries.
Reading these traits often exposes the arrested development of those of us who may have grown up but have failed to mature.
This poem illuminates human wisdom as brilliantly as a bright light on a dark night reveals all within its circle of radiance. It’s a work of brilliance by a man who was more than a journeyman wordsmith, a true master of the English language. And like other works of genius, it exposes timeless truths that can change the life of anyone who assimilates its message and lives out its guidance. Other works such as How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie, or The 21 Indispensable Qualities of a Leader by John Maxwell are examples of this wisdom that can help us mature into successful people in a world filled with more obstacles than opportunities.
However, while wisdom, if it’s accepted and acted upon, can help us succeed and prosper, it cannot by itself bring us to the peace which passes all understanding. Happiness is the world’s substitute for joy causing immature people to waste their lives tickling themselves to death for a smile. Similarly, the tranquility flowing from success and prosperity is the world’s substitute for peace. True peace can only come from God, for humanity needs peace with God to have peace within themselves.
You see, when humanity decided to follow Satan instead of God, we immediately found an unbridgeable gulf between God and us. This left a God-shaped hole in our hearts, and nothing can fill it except the God who created us. On our own, we can’t think our way to God. We can’t follow enough rules, laws, or pious regulations to reach God. Someone had to pay the price for all the sin from Adam to eternity, and no one could do it except an eternal being.
We were guilty and in need of a mediator, “For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.” In the court of heaven, we needed an attorney to represent us before the throne of justice, “If anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.” You see, He has paid the price and is ever ready to show the proof of His sacrifice since, “He solved the sin problem for good—not only ours, but the whole world’s.”
Jesus pointed the way to peace with God. Telling us, “Take My yoke upon

The Titanic, Boiling Frogs, and God’s Grip
JANUARY 2021
BY LEO JALOSZYNSKI
You and I have begun to explore the beginnings of a new year, numbered 2021. Every new year can be anticipated, like the arrival at a shopping mall. We wisely find a map directory and discover our “red dot” location. Then we search through the many shops and food courts for where we want to go. Sometimes we know what we are looking for, and sometimes we have come, just to pass the time. As we walk through the early days of January, in this nation called America, what do we find in “the American Mall”?
The suggested “red dot” moment of our times comes from the ideas that can be read in a book authored by Rabbi Daniel Lapin in 1999. On August 23, 1984, President Reagan spoke these prophetic words…” If we ever forget that we are one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under.”
Like the crew of the famous Titanic, we, like they, pridefully ignored the warnings and size of the iceberg that tore a hole in the steel hull of this mighty ship. Rabbi Lapin states that what was true of the mindset of the passengers aboard the “unsinkable” Titanic, i.e., “This ship will never sink” mindset, is now true of America. Also, in the book AMERICA’S REAL WAR, he reminds his readers, like “boiled frogs”, “we humans can accustom ourselves to almost anything, provided we are given a little time in which to do it. Things that change slowly become accepted as normal.”
Frogs thrown into boiling water will jump out but put a frog in water and slowly raise the temperature, the frog will stay. Hence comes the promised Biden’ reset’.
Rabbi Lapin proposes that our nation hit a cultural iceberg in the 1960’s and we have been dancing in the ballrooms of our denial since then. The idea upon which America was founded was not about ownership of land but that humans are primarily spiritual beings endowed by their CREATOR with inalienable rights. This foundation of spiritual idealism remained strong until the 1960’s. The iceberg for America was struck on June 16, 1963. On that day, our nation’s Supreme Court outlawed prayer in our public schools. On January 22, 1973, our nation’s Supreme Court unleashed lawful abortion upon our children in the womb. In 2015, our nation’s Supreme Court redefined God’s definition of marriage and the family. In December of the year 2020, our nation’s Supreme Court stiff-armed the attempt of Texas to protect our Constitution’s firewall of election laws.
We are passengers aboard a sinking Ship of State. And sadly, it is politically incorrect to dare ask who the women are… if there were any men brave enough to identify themselves as males and help the women board the lifeboats first. (Exception: Caprock Patriot readers)
Lastly, the Bible timelessly warns its readers, in the first chapter of the book of Romans, verse 28, “And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. In verse 32, “Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.” With the votes and silence of disobedient Christians, calling ourselves patriotic citizens, we dance foolishly as the icy waters of socialism wash over the sinking decks of the once-great idea called America. Like the disciple, Peter, dare to walk on the water while keeping your eyes focused on Jesus.
“Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” (2 Corinthians 3:17)

A Little Good News Today: “A Lawyer’s Future Hangs in the Balance”
BY PETER ADAMS
AROUND 1990, I CHOSE a certain lawyer to represent me in a work-related incident. I drove all the way from Conroe to Katy, Texas, to use this man. All I can say is that I felt strongly that this was the man the Lord wanted me to use. Later, I understood why.
When I first walked into the Lawyer’s office, I noticed that he had hung little sayings all over his walls saying, “God owns this business, and Jesus is Lord,” as well as other similar expressions. This opened up the door for our conversations to ask each other about our relationships with God.
Each time we met to discuss my case, the Lawyer began to ask me more and more questions about my life. I told him how sometimes God would show me things about a person or tell me things to say to them that no one else knew about. When God would reveal things of the past, things hidden in their lives, it would get their undivided attention when He would say something to them about today or their future. All so that they would know without a shadow of a doubt that God was real and that He cared for them.
IN OUR LAST MEETING, I was about to leave the office and when I reached for the doorknob… all of a sudden the Lord showed me something about this man. I must have stood there holding the doorknob for about 10 seconds, and it caught the Lawyer’s attention. He said, “Hey! What’s the matter? Did God tell you something about me?”
I said, “Yes, He did. Do you want to know what He said?” The Lawyer said yes, of course. So, I told him to sit down and asked if I could lock his door so we wouldn’t be disturbed, and he said sure.
I said, “You have all these printings taped to your walls saying that God is the owner of this business, Jesus is your Lord, and so on. God told me to ask you if He really is the owner of your business, and if He is truly Lord of your life. He said to tell you that your future is hanging in the balance depending on how you answer these questions.”
THE LAWYER SAT THERE in silence for about 30 seconds, contemplating if this was real, if God had really spoken to me about him, and if God really even knew what was going on in his life. Then he kind of came back to reality, smiled, and said, “Sure, God is over everything I have, and He’s Lord of my life.”
I looked at him intently and slowly said, “Okay,” and I turned to leave.
The Lawyer said, “Oh, by the way, you’ll probably see me on the News tonight, but it’s okay. Everything will be alright, and I’ll be back in the office Monday morning, and business will be as usual.”
I grinned and nodded and left for home. That evening, my wife and I watched the 10 o’clock news and saw my Lawyer and two other attorneys indicted for insurance fraud. They had accomplices wreck cars by running them into trees and then claiming they had neck and back injuries. They had swindled the insurance companies out of thousands of dollars. Then the verdict was read on the Lawyer I was using. The Judge said he was going to make an example of him and sentenced him to 31 years in prison for his part in the Insurance fraud schemes.
I remember the Lawyer sitting in the chair when the Lord said his life was hanging in the balance, all depending on how he answered the questions. I truly believe that God was giving this Lawyer a moment of grace (unmerited favor). If he would have said no that God was not the owner of his business nor Lord of his
