The 200-year-old Ayurmana, had been the home of the Chathamangalathu Mana, a family of renowned Ayurvedic practitioners. And this rich legacy lives on, as the Ayurmana stands with pride as a renowned Ayurveda center of equally befitting calibre. The exquisite 'Nalukettu' or four-sided mansion had been transported in its entirety from its original location to Kumarakom Lake Resort, and had been recreated with careful precision and expertise.

The spirit of service and the dedication of the Chathamangalathu Mana is carried forth to this day and is kept alive at this Green Leaf certified wellness center by a team of highly qualified Ayurvedic physicians and masseurs. Treatments range from intensive twenty-one day programs to half-hour beauty therapies.

Built under the commission of the King Marthanda Varma and gifted to his martial arts tutor and maestro, Edamana Kellamthat Gurukkal, this impressive abode is a fine example of the palatial 8-sided homesteads or Ettukettus, unique to Kerala.

Dismantled from its original location and reassembled in all its glory at the resort, the Ettukettu, under the aegis of a fine team of chefs, serves delicious multi-cuisine fare and is as dedicated to culinary arts as it once was to martial arts.
