Kumarakom Lake Resort is home to the Ayurmana, the heritage retreat of Ayurvedic healing. The 200-year-old Ayurmana had once been the home of the Chathamangalathu Mana, a family of renowned Ayurvedic practitioners. The rich legacy is retained and lives on as the Ayurmana. The
ethnic 'Nalukettu' or four-sided mansion had been transported in its entirety from its original location to Kumarakom Lake Resort and had been recreated with careful precision and expertise.

The impressive abode is a fine example of the palatial 8-sided Ettukettus unique to Kerala, and had been dismantled from its original location and reassembled in all its glory at the resort. Once dedicated to martial arts, today, under the aegis of a fine team of chefs, it serves delicious multi-cuisine fare.

Forte Kochi, an exclusive heritage hotel originally built in the 1860s and once part of the palatial home of an eminent Jew family, sits on the popular Princess Street in Fort Kochi.
