Ste. Anne Police Host Bike Rodeo

Ste. Anne Sport and Recreation along with the Ste. Anne Police Department organized a Bike Rodeo on May 19. The police set up a bike safety obstacle course and BBQ. It was a great afternoon where kids enjoyed decorating their bikes, learning safety tips and bike maintenance. Officers even helped some children fix their bikes.

Little Green Thumbs Kids are having a great time at the Ste. Anne gardening club each week. “We work on a new project that gets the kids learning about plants and gardening,” explained Sue Fitzgerald, one of the organizers. “The kids also get to go home with a garden creation they constructed each class.”

Splash Park Advances

Work on the Ste. Anne Splash park has started with the initial excavation underway.

Hobby Farm Opens Doors to Public A local hobby farm has been working hard and getting ready to open their doors to the public.

For the last few years Hickory Hallow Hobby Farm has been making its new home just minutes from Ste. Anne, located just east of town on the # 1 HWY. You may have even visited them at their last home in Austin Mb. Hickory Hallow has been in business since the 70’s. They have a wide variety of animals including goats, pigs, geese, chickens, bunnies, horses, hedgehogs, chinchillas, doves and more. They even have a llama.

Hickory Hallow would like to invite everyone to come down for a visit on June 18 between 10 - 5 while they hold an open house. Entry to the farm is

free for the day. There will also be vendors set up on site. The Lions Club will be selling hotdogs, Silly Faces and More will

be set up doing face painting and Henna Tattoos, MCGraffix

Airbrushing and temporary tattoos, Papillon Creations will be set up with art, vintage and rare finds. There will be a country

band and more. Hickory Hallow can’t wait to welcome you to the farm. For more info see ad.

A Dog’s Day at Waldenway Purina Walk for Dog Guides was held this year at Waldenway Canine and Kitty Camp along side the Eastman Adoption Fair. The Waldenway grounds was a ‘barking good time.’ Approximately 500 people attended.

There were dogs swimming and canoe rides, bouncy houses, pony rides, food trucks, and the Lions club raised funds for guide dogs.

Along with their walk they also hosted a silent auction and a 50/50 draw. The Wild Dogs Crew was there with tricks and training shows.

Hospital Family Health Walk - Will take place on Saturday, June 4 from 10:30 am - 1:30 pm at the Hospital Grounds. Hospital Fundraiser includes a 4 km family walk, followed by a picnic lunch with outdoor activities for all ages, including the chance to see a Fire Truck! Nature and the Environment Camp July 4-8 - Campers spend time in nature (weather depending), Survivor day: Tribes are created to build friendships and teamwork. Campers set up tents and a daytime campsite for fun and games, Scavenger hunt, Obstacle course, Environmental leadership and more, For ages 5 to 12.

The Amazing Race Camp July 11 - 15 - Campers create a passport, Travel to a new country each day, Participate in games, sports, art and culture of a new country each day. Campers will keep track of how kms travelled on this amazing race. New puzzles, challenges and games for each leg of the race everyone wins in the end!

Create lasting friendships through teambuilding and fun. For ages 5 to 12.

Sports and Games Camp July 18 - 22 - Try different sports and games each day, Teambuilding games and activities, Fosters friendship and fun through sports and games, Crafts and Fun. For ages 5 to 12.

Inventors Workshop July 25 - 29 - Kids use their imaginations to dream about what is possible. Brainstorming, Design, Invention box, make a plan to market a product. Make a commercial to showcase product, Teamwork, Friendship. For ages 5 to 12.
