BIG Splash in Town The Ste. Anne Splash Pad is now officially open, many representatives and splash pad committee members from the Town of Sainte-Anne along with Provincial and Federal Government and community members gathered at the at Parc des Rédemptoristes to celebrate the Community Splash Pad Grand Opening. The park was filled with excited children waiting for the ribbon cutting ceremony to be complete, so they could start to play but to everyone’s surprise Bob Lagassé, MLA for Dawson Trail and Sarah Guillemard, MLA for Fort Richmond where one of the first to enjoy the splash pad as it turned on. They ran back and forth through the splash pad and then stopped under the bucket to pose for a picture while the bucket filled with water poured over them. Over 5 years of planning has gone into the Ste. Anne Recreation Master Plan. The Splash Pad is open just in time for another warm summer in Manitoba. The Pad is
located in the Parc des Rédemptoristes, east of the Ste. Anne Catholic Church. The Splash Pad is approximately 250 sq. metres and in addition includes upgrades to existing washrooms to include change rooms which form part of the Pavilion. The Splash Pad features two areas of play: a toddler water play area and a family play area. Water features are bright and colorful. The Splash Pad is fully accessible and inclusive for all ages and abilities.
