MAKE A CHANGE
Shaneece grew up in the foster care system and struggled to find stable housing as an adult. While on maternity leave from her security job, a rent increase forced her out of her home. For over two years, she suffered from postpartum depression, living in parks with her daughter Lanyah. They struggled each day to find food and shelter.
Everything changed when Shaneece connected with PATH. She has secured permanent housing and rental assistance. She has ongoing support from her PATH case manager. Now Shaneece is pursuing a degree in psychology to work with foster youth like herself. Shaneece and Lanyah have a newfound hope for the future.
