A Place For PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARS

Florida last year ranked top—and Palm Beach County ranked first in the state—in the U.S. Department of Education’s list of President Scholars. It is considered one of the most prestigious academic awards for high school graduates. Florida had nine students and the county had three among the 161 high school seniors honored for academics, the arts, and career and technical education fields. Palm Beach County honorees included two from Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts in West Palm Beach and one from West Boca Raton Community High School.
