Historical Wreck site attracts abundant marine life, including large tarpon. Since winter storms tend to uncover the wreck, spring is the best time to dive. To locate the wreck, swim approximately 560 feet at 110 degrees heading off of the North light pole at the boat ramp entrance on A1A. Note: Diving is not permitted from the Delray City Beach to North of the boat ramp. Entrance and exit to this site is limited to the area of the boat ramp path to the ocean.

Downtown Master Plan Conceived by residents, business owners and community leaders with the support of the City and the Community Redevelopment Agency, the Downtown Delray Beach Master Plan is a collaborative effort and unified vision to create a sustainable downtown that stretches from I-95 to the beach. Cluster Study The Downtown Delray Beach Cluster Analysis and Retail Development Strategy, known as the “Cluster Study”, were completed in 2005. The study, initiated by the Downtown Development Authority (DDA), surveyed downtown visitors and analyzed eight distinct geographic areas or “clusters” within the downtown in terms of the mix and function of uses within each. The resulting report provides a strategy and recommendations to guide the ongoing retail revitalization of the downtown area. The DDA, CRA, Chamber of Commerce and the City continue to explore ways to provide a sustainable mix of uses and amenities in order to ensure the downtown’s viability for years to come.
