WELCOME BACK
Welcome back,Ibiza devotees! We are glad to see you once again on our blessed island, and we feel happy and privileged to start summer 2016 together with you! The main news for now is that Space Ibiza is enjoying its last season in Playa d’en Bossa. In 2017 the lease contract is up, and the building will have to be returned to its owner – who is the same as Ushuaïa’s. What used to be Space will become a luxury club catering for Ushuaïa’s public, and the huge glorious history that lasted 27 years will be over. Rumour has it that Pepe Rosello will open a

new club in San Antonio – but this will be a completely new story. The new government of the island wants to make sure all clubs shut down at 6.30am – which is unprecedentedly early, especially for techno events, which sometimes used to last well past midday. How strictly will this law be enforced, we wonder? Time will tell. Another law has made PRs disappear from the streets of Ibiza port and San Antonio. Admittedly they caused a certain nuisance stopping passers-by and convincing them to buy tickets – but it was they who created the
unique atmosphere of a pre-party on-the-go, and without them bar-hopping will look and feel very different. To protect the fragile and unique nature of the island, eco tax will be implemented from July 1. Every tourist aged 16 or over has to pay this tax upon arrival at the hotel, and the exact sum depends on the type of accommodation: from €0.50 per night for a hostel and up to €2 per night for a five-star establishment. In general, Ibiza keeps getting more expensive. Internet was set on fire by the news that this summer the island expects to welcome 120 private jets per day. The hotels on the island are the most expensive in the
But irrespective of the laws, prices and changes, the fun goes on and will never stop. There is so much to look forward to! Several very promising new parties have been launched, such as Afterlife Thursdays by Tale of Us in Space, Dance 88/89 in Sankeys or Mosaic Tuesdays by Maceo Plex in Pacha. Vagabundos by Luciano have returned to Pacha, La Troya has migrated to Space and Rumors by Guy Gerber have moved to Destino. Solomun + Live shows will take place both in Ushuaïa and Destino this summer, and Acid Sundays are once again confirmed at Heart. The beat goes on, and the Clubbing Bible is here to help you make the most of it. Yours truly, The Clubbing Bible Team

INTERVIEW
INTERVIEW Hola Matthias! First of all, congratulations for being a Circoloco resident in your 10th season now! Wow! There are only very few other DJs who are part of the crew for such a long time. Is there anything remarkable you remember from your very first appearance at Circoloco, something that you will never forget? Thank you. Actually, my first gig at DC10 was quite special. It was on New Year’s Day and I was supposed to fly in from London a few hours before my set. The flight was delayed and by the moment I got my records off the baggage belt it was 15 minutes before my set time. So I was taken straight to DC10, through the back door that opens into the terrace DJ booth and there I was. My first time ever at DC10 and I was supposed to play right away. The good thing was that I didn’t have time to get nervous. The party was amazing and I have never had a bad one there ever since. Do you count yourself already as part of the circle of the infamous Circoloco all-time residents like Cirillo, Tania Vulcano or Jose de Divina? I am part of the second or third artist generation at DC10. When I joined the Circoloco family they had already written history in Ibiza. I am glad I have been with them for the latest chapters. What is your relationship with that spearhead of the clubbing institution that is DC10? I have a good relationship with them. We have been playing together at countless parties over the last years – not only at DC10. I respect them

a lot for what they have managed to establish with Circoloco. Your collaboration with Circoloco reaches far beyond the shows in Ibiza. You recently created Circoloco Radio 002 edition. What was your approach to it, and how different was it from choosing tracks to play at a live gig in DC10? The radio show is a live recording of a set I played at the DC10 terrace last summer. I had the impression this would be the most representative way to reflect the Circoloco vibe. It seems that the Circoloco promoters Andrea and Antonio are very loyal towards most of their artists - as long as they are loyal towards them. Do you think loyality in the party business is key for a long term relationship? I think loyalty and fairness are key in any kind of business or relationship. Besides DC10 bi-weekly also you are performing at many other major clubs and events in Ibiza like Ants at Ushuaia, Carl Cox at Space and Music On at Amnesia this season. We were trying to figure out if there is any other German DJ at the moment who has so many shows confirmed in Ibiza other than you, but with no clear result. Would it be exaggerated to claim that you are the No. 1 German DJ in Ibiza at the moment - at least in terms of the number and variety of stellar bookings? That would be an exaggeration. Talking about German DJs the first one that comes to my mind

is Sven Väth and his weekly Cocoon night. I am very happy I have this great exposure on the island, but I am not trying to claim a title like that. Talking about your roots, we find it impressive that you continue to choose your native hometown Leipzig as a base instead of moving to one of the more fancy cities like Berlin, London or Barcelona. There must be something very special about this place. What is it and what does Leipzig mean to you? Leipzig is the city where I was born and where I grew up. I have friends, family and also my label office there. It is on the verge of being a big city with all options that you need for a good life, but at the same time it is quiet and a balancing anchor to the hectic tour life. For centuries Leipzig has been the breeding ground for a whole bunch of world famous classic composers like Johann Sebastian Bach, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Richard Wagner and Gustav Mahler. Being a music producer yourself, is there something like an inspirational spirit that you feel around Leipzig? Leipzig is not only music wise a classic heavyweight. It has a long history in many

aspects of culture. It is the city of Goethe and Schiller for example. Right now it is one of the fastest growing cities in Germany attracting lots of artists and students that look for alternative spaces to Berlin. I enjoy being there, it is an inspiring place. Ok, let’s talk a little bit about recent and upcoming projects. Could you please tell us something about the Moon Harbour Inhouse compilation that just came out? How did you select the tracks for it? Which artists can we hear on this release? The Moon Harbour Inhouse series has always brought label acts and artist friends together.
This time we have Anja Schneider, Ninetoes, Riva Starr and Sidney Charles debuting on Moon Harbour. Their tracks are accompanied by mainstays like Luna City Express, Mathias Kaden, Sable Sheep, Dan Drastic or Sven Tasnadi. Altogether the compilation consists of 12 tracks. Your last own artist album “Restless” came out in 2008, so this was a while ago. For the end of the summer you are announcing a new album to be released, just right before ADE. What can we expect and how different was it from the process of working on your previous album? I have been collecting ideas and samples for
Today most people buy and download tracks, not albums. Can you confirm this trend? Yes, this is especially true with dance music. There is so much music around and everything is instantly accessable and therefore rather short-lived. Is the format of vinyl LPs still alive and kicking? It actually has a renaissance. Vinyl production is back at a high level right now, pressing plants are beyond capacity. Vinyl has become more of a collectors item whereas most of the DJs play digitally.

Moon Harbour is celebrating its 15th anniversary. How has your vision and perception of running a record label changed throughout these years? When we started the label in 2000 we didn’t have a vision reaching that far into the future. We have grown into the whole thing and learned a lot by doing it. The initial idea was to release the music of our musical friends and myself. Meanwhile we have become home to a lot of artists and a little family. I am happy about that development.
nothing in very near future, but certainly from end of the year on again.
You have been in high demand as a remixer for a long list of well known house and techno artists like Booka Shade, Josh Wink, Moby, Pete Tong, Jamie Jones and many, many others. Is there anything in the loop right now? I have recently turned down all remix requests in order to be able to work on my album. So
We are living in an era when technological advancements happen every day. Which are the apps and gadgets that made you especially happy recently? I have been using Duolingo a lot recently to improve my poor Spanish. I am on it. ;)
TheClubbingBible.Net
How are “Better Lost Than Stupid” doing? What can we expect from the trio infernale Tanzmann-Buttrich-Squillace this year? We have just played a little series of 3 gigs in May in London, Milan and DC10 Ibiza. After the summer we will sit down together to finish the album that we have been working on. 2017 will be the year when the project will come out with its own music and more shows.

The voting is open for DJ Awards, the annual ceremony that sums up the musical results of yet another eventful summer in Ibiza and highlights the most creative, outstanding and hard-working artists. Now in its 19th year, DJ Awards will take place at its usual home of Pacha Ibiza on October 3rd. However, if you want to support your favourite DJs by voting for them, you should do it now. Voting will close at the end of July and the team of the Awards will start
calculating the results and preparing the gala ceremony. This season they are considering nominations in the following 12 categories: Techno, Tech House, House, Deep House, Big Room House, International DJ, Trance, Bass, Electronica, Electronic Live Performer, Newcomer and Breakthrough. This is the longest nomination list in the history of the ceremony, with 2 new categories added especially for this year’s edition. Electronic Live Performer used to be a special award (thus not subject to voting), but changed its status due the increasing popularity of

masterful live gigs across Ibiza clubs. Also, House has been allocated into a separate category to award those who champion the genre in its purest, if not to say oldschool, form. Of course, the division is quite conventional, despite the fact that the very essence of a musician’s talent is to artfully blur the lines between the genres, certain pigeonholing in absolutely necessary. Otherwise, how would one be able to explain to a friend which kind of music he likes? Over 85 candidates will lay claim to become the chosen ones. The winners of last year, each in their corresponding category, were Carl Cox, Armin van Buuren, Hardwell, Black Coffee, Solomun, Disclosure, Luciano & Hot Since 82, Cuartero and Hannah Wants. Who wouldn’t mind joining them in their hall of fame?

However, it should be noted that the procedure of choosing the winners doesn’t presuppose any rivalry or fierce competition. It’s not a battle, it is a fair and unbiased selection of those artists who managed to make significant achievements this year and impress the whole island with their talent and inspiration. By looking at the results of DJ Awards, one can clearly discern the current trends of Ibiza clubbing scene and understand who is who within the island’s nightlife circuit. The procedure of voting is genuinely simple: you just need to visit www. djawards.com and mark those artists who impressed you the most. Never hesitate to express your gratitude - there is no such thing as too much love in the world.

THE FINAL
TRIUMPH OF THE
REVOLUTION
“The Final Chapter” is the theme for Carl Cox’ Tuesdays in Space this season. Carl has been the staple of the club’s weekly programme for the last 15 years, and now the time has come to call it a day. Once Space changes its owner, the techno titan won’t be holding weekly residency here anymore. That’s why in 2016 every single party will be a landmark, every single set will go down in history, every item of merchandise should be stored as treasure. Kicking off on June 14, the Revolution will last until September 20, 15 weeks all in all. To celebrate the outstanding occasion, Carl has booked the crème de la crème of the artists who supported him during this fabulous journey. The maestro himself will be playing every

night, joined by his most loyal friends and colleagues. On June 21 there will be Chris Liebing in the Discoteca, and Uner and Guti (live) on the Terrace. June 28 will bring to the Discoteca Carl’s longtime associates John Digweed and Monika Kruse, and the Terrace will welcome Marco Bailey and Ben Pearce. On July 5 in the Discoteca Carl will go back2back with Nic Fanciulli, and Adam Beyer with Ida Engberg will do the same. At the same time, the Terrace will receive a proper drum’n’bass treatment with the help of Andy C & Tonn Piper and LTJ Bukem & Dynamite MC. The following week, July 12, will be a blast thanks to Erick Morillo in the Discoteca and Danny Tenaglia and Francois K on the Terrace. July 19 will be soundtracked by the new Ibiza favourites Joseph Capriati and Kölsch in Discoteca and Yousef and Misstress Barbara on the
Terrace. On July 26 Space visitors will be especially lucky to witness to performances by Dubfire and Tania Vulcano in Discoteca and Cirez D and Guy J on the Terrace. The smaller rooms will be in good hands as well. The Sunset Terrace on different dates will be hosted by Future Disco, Angels of Love, Ibiza Global Radio and Ibiza Sonica. Premier Etage will witness showcases by Jacks House by Clara da Costa, The Secret After Party, Midnight Social Recordings, Float Your Boat, Luckylife, Emerging Ibiza and Burn Residency. His trademark ‘Oh yes, oh yes!’ exclamations have been much more than just a call to put our hands in the air – it is a celebration of a feel-good attitude to life. Carl confesses he has never missed a season in Ibiza since 1985. When he came here for the first time as a tourist and a clubber, he hardly had a spare peseta in his

He was so enchanted by the island that, by putting in it all his effort and enthusiasm, a few years later became one of the most precious assets of Ibiza nightlife. Will we ever see him back in Ibiza once his Revolution at Space is over? So far he says, oh yes. In his interviews Carl has revealed it that for the next few years he is planning to perform in Ibiza a couple of times per season, most likely for Circoloco at DC10 and for Music On with Marco Carola. No matter where and when you decide to grace the decks, we will always welcome you with open arms, the incomparable mister Carl Cox.

THE FINAL CHAPTER
SPACE IBIZA This summer is officially the last one for Space Ibiza. Since the land actually belongs to the same owner as Ushuaïa and the lease contract is up, Space will move out by the end of the year. While it’s still in Playa d’en Bossa, let’s enjoy every minute of the farewell summer! Carl Cox’ Tuesdays, themed as The Last Chapter, will take place from June 14 till September 20. The master himself will be playing every night except August 30, and his most prominent comrades-in-arms for the first part of the season are: John Digweed on June 28, Andy C & Tonn Piper and LTJ Bukem & Dynamite MC on July 5, Erick Morillo, Danny Tenaglia and Francois K on July 12, Dubfire and Cirez D on July 26. Wednesdays from June till September 28 welcome back the erotic flamboyance of La Troya by Brasilio, with Oscar Colorado and Camilo Franco soundtracking it every night.

Another staple of the programme are the notorious Sundays at Space from June 5 till September 25. The highlights of their bookings are 2manydjs (DJ set), Danny Tenaglia, Dave Seaman presents Selador, Freemasons, Green Velvet, Guti (live), Kenny Glasgow, Tiga and many others. Darius Syrossian with his Do Not Sleep concept will be in charge of the terrace for most dates. After ENTER’s departure, Thursdays won’t be left unattended at all: from July 7 till September 29 they will be occupied by the Afterlife project by Tale of Us. Their bookings deserve special praise for welcoming those techno artists who have been under the Ibiza radar for too long:
The same audience should be equally interested in ONYX on Mondays. Starting on June 27 and ending on September 12, this newcomer invites to the stage such artists as Gaiser (live) on July 4, Fritz Kalkbrenner on July 11 or Paul Ritch on July 25. Saturdays from June 4 till September 24 once again belong to ElRow, who are taking over both Discoteca and Terraza this season, while KER club remains in charge of the Sunset Terrace. Their line-ups this summer are stronger than ever: Sasha all night long on June 18, Hot Since 82 on July 2 and Matador (live) on July 16. Last but not least, Glitterbox from June 3 till September 3 will provide the utmost Friday night experience with disco and house classic tunes spinned by Roger Sanchez on June 17 and July 8, Todd Terry on July 1 and 15 or Basement Jaxx on July 22.

Get those air guitars out: After the record breaking tenth anniversary season last summer, Ibiza Rocks, the home of live music in Ibiza, and its sister event ‘We are Rockstars’ open yet another chapter in their impressive island history. Joining the highly anticipated live music line up this summer are Faithless, Skrillex, Wolf Alice, Tinie Tempah and LCD Soundsystem. With a loyal fan base and a summer that is already promising to bring a record number of tourists to our island, the ground breaking Ibiza Rocks brand is set for its most successful season yet. From the early days as the second floor of the Manumission party to its own hotel-complex, the British led Ibiza Rocks has come a long way on an island, that has always been first and foremost about djing and electronic music. Many of those who used to sneer at the idea of bringing bands to the island are now celebrating with their favourite rock groups under the stars. of partying in Ibiza For the past few seasons Privilege has been the main discoverer of new party brands for the whole island. Artists aspiring and established seek to obtain a weekly residency here to further forward their career. This season the trademark party of Privilege, Supermartxe, has moved from its usual Friday slot to Saturdays, starting on June 4. Stronger-than-ever line ups including Afrojack, Chucky, Nervo and Steve Angello are accompanied by new shows, new party themes and displays of advanced

Monday traditionally has been the toughest night of Ibiza, because of the need to compete with Cocoon and Circoloco. However, fortune favours the brave, and a 10-week residency has been proclaimed for No Xcuses party by EDX. Lasting from June 27 till August 29, it has secured Nore En Pure playing each night. Parties with paint thrown in the air have become big on the island lately. Pushing this trend, Ibiza Paint Party is taking place every Tuesday from June 7 till September 20. Paint cannons will be launching 800 litres of paint into the air of the huge main room, and residents Luka Caro and Juicy M will take care of the soundtrack, inviting Vinai, Mike Candys, Plastik Funk and Nari & Milani as guests. Londoners Solid Grooves will spend their second Ibiza summer in Privilege, kicking off on June 9 and winding up on September 1. Anja Schneider, Robert Dietz, Detlef, Reboot, Subb-An, Dungeon Meat, Dense & Pika will
all grace the decks, accompanied by Solid Grooves’ own stars Michael Bibi and Dennis Cruz. One of the most beloved techno DJs of Ibiza, Marco Bailey, is launching his own Materia party on Sundays, starting on June 19. After this concept proved to be effective in Amsterdam, Paris, Vienna and Madrid, it will bring to Vista Club such artists as Paul Ritch, Carlo Lio, Ambivalent, Sasha Carassi and Shlomi Aber among others. Wednesdays in July and August are tailormade for the younger generation of clubbers: UniversiParty is all about big commercial hits, plenty of animation and crazy contests on stage. Finally, I Am A Rich Bitch on Fridays will bring some greatly coveted stylistical diversity to the programme. Taking place weekly from June 10, it will fill the club with the sounds of trap, reggaeton, R&B and hip-hop with DJ Ale Zuber and singer Jay Santos performing weekly.

Nervo sisters, sharing decks with Guetta a few summers ago, are now headliners in their own right and will host NERVO Nation parties on June 6, 13 and 20 and September 5, 12 and 19 (Mondays as well). Tuesdays from June 28 till September 13 continue to be ruled by the young and efficient Hardwell. The concept he elaborated this season, DNA, promises to be a tad more mysterious than his previous ideas – such as Carnival. Following the good tradition of looking after those who arrive a bit earlier, Hardwell’s own Revealed record label will host two events, on June 14 and 21.
Wednesday in Ushuaïa has been Swedesday since the very inception of the infamous party hotel. Axwell & Ingrosso will go on with their residency from July 6 till September 7, causing massive entrance queues and overall euphoria. As for Thursdays, from June 30 till September 3 we welcome a new brilliant concept: Blue. Oliver Heldens and/or Robert Schulz will be playing weekly, supported by Feder, Jonas Blue, Alex Adair and other inspirational artists. Three dates – July 14 and 28 and August 17 – will be ruled by the Norwegian prodigy of Kygo playing live, accompanied by Thomas Kack, Kimotion, Michael Calfan and the likes. Armin van Buuren, who used to occupy Thursdays on a weekly basis last summer, will be back for two special one-offs: on July 29 (Friday) and September 11 (Sunday). Not to be missed!

On Fridays, Martin Garrix carries on from the resounding success of his debut season. His Multiply party will go down a treat with his young enthusiastic audience from July 1 till August 26. Before and after Martin Fridays will be devoted to hip-hop, grime and a little bit of pop thanks to Disturbing Ibiza. This project,

If, as Eric Estornel puts it, Ibiza used to be the Mecca of tech house, he will gladly ruin this stereotype. Guess who is back on Fridays? The one and only Luciano with his incomparable Vagabundos! As for touring, Siragusa has gigs in such renowned clubs as Panorama Bar in Berlin, Robert Johnson in Frankfurt and Mint in Leeds under his belt, and last May he triumphantly debuted in North America, playing in Miami, New York and Montreal. Enzo Siragusa is spinning for HYTE at Amnesia on July 13, July 27, August 17, August 31, September 14, September 28 as well as October 5 which is the closing. It’s the second season that Ibiza keeps going crazy over Acid Pauli. This DJ managed to create one of the best parties of summer 2015, Acid Sundays, at the new night club Heart in Marina Botafoch, and is now going on with his fabulously trippy, head-spinningly creative weekly residency there. Acid Pauli (real name Martin Gretschmann) was born in Germany and first got addicted to punk music. As a youngster, he used to play bass guitar. By 1995, however, his taste evolved and he started making electronic tracks under the alias Console - using this name, from 1997 to 2010 he recorded six artist albums. His discography as Acid Pauli comprises just one artist album, Mst, released on Clown and Sunset in 2012, two DJ mixes on Crosstown

Rebels and a slew of EPs. In June 2016 together with Nico Stojan he launched a new record label called Ouïe: the first EP, Call of The Valley, is already out. Being a truly versatile musician, Acid Pauli skilfully combines elements of different styles in his sets and gladly plays alone all night long. What he plays at Heart is a blend of literally all music genres, with plenty of ethnic and jazzy motives, all supported with a steady non-hasty beat that urges you in a dancing meditation. This summer Acid Pauli is playing weekly at Heart at his own Acid Sundays party till October 2, and on September 13 he is booked to perform at Mosaic in Pacha along Maceo Plex and Damian Lazarus.

THE HOMECOMING
OF wAFF Whether they be selling you tickets, serving drinks or chatting you up on the street during your stay on the island: Always be nice to Ibiza workers! You might see them in the DJ booth a year or two later.
wAFF from the English countryside spent three seasons on the island, dancing every night and sucking it all up, distilling island life into his own music later on. Exactly that may also be the reason why his tracks work so well particularly on Ibizan dancefloors. With gigs at Cocoon, Warriors or Elrow and a residency at Jamie Jones’ Paradise at DC10, wAFF has become one of the hottest tickets in Ibiza just over the span of four years. Four years in which a young, inspired wAFF immersed himself in music production, without releasing anything as he was waiting until - in his own words - he “struck
gold”. So when he finally felt ready it only took some three or four EP’s to put himself firmly on the map of such headliners as Jamie Jones, Sven Väth or Marco Carola. With a musical horizon shaped from experiences on the island, he calls his first big hit EP ‘Ibiza’: A pounding piece of house with a stripped back vocal sample and a fierce drive. Now, almost 20 releases later on labels like Hot Creations, Drumcode, Cocoon and Suara, wAFF is coming back again to where his musical socialisation began: Ibiza. An impressive tour calendar will keep him busy over the summer, sharing his exuberant energy on the most credible dancefloors of the island. Welcome home, wAFF! wAFF is playing Paradise Opening on June 22, July 6, July 20, at Cocoon on June 27 and for Warriors at Sankeys on July 17.

DEEP IN SUCCESS! Hot Since 82
“No! Try not. Do, or do not. There is no try!” Jedi master Yoda‘s wise words ring true for every young, aspiring DJ who wants to make it in the scene. We get a feeling that the outspoken Star Wars fan Daley Padley aka Hot Since 82 thought of this quote when in 2007, after having made it playing trance music successfully at Cream Ibiza for years, he risked his blossoming career and easy money only to start afresh on the rather thorny ground of underground music. “I didn‘t like that music anymore, I actually hated it!”, reminisces Daley about this time. It was an inspirational villa afters in Ibiza (where else?!) that paved his new path: As the story goes the music suddenly cut out and Daley plugged in his iPhone to play an unfinished track of his. The overwhelming response at the party gave him courage to send the track to fellow music producer and label owner Noir. ‚Let it ride‘ went to number 3 on the Beatport charts, riding on a

Since then Hot since 82 has made himself a household name in the underground, with remixes of Yousef or Rudimental, and tracks on revered labels like Get Physical and Circus. Significantly his very own take on Green Velvet‘s ‚Bigger than Prince‘ became an instant Ibiza anthem and a Beatport number 1. Years after the pivotal villa party, Ibiza still plays an important part for Hot Since 82, being instrumental for getting his name and music out. In 2016, while playing all over the island again, at such diverse nights as Elrow and Paradise, for Carl Cox as well as Sankeys, Hot Since 82 is also finally taking the plunge “Knee Deep” into his very own night at Pacha. For three Fridays during the summer Daley is creating ‚Knee Deep in Ibiza‘, takeovers of the underground night Insane, where he will be joined by artists like Miss Kittin, Booka Shade and Nick Curly in June and July. It is a logical next step for an artist who‘s always made sure his popularity grows organically and not explosively, guns ablazing with a full 16 week residency. The chances of returning to play trance at Cream are slim, his passion for house is still very much alive: “If I wasn‘t doing this here,”, Hot Since 82 said after playing at gig at Space, “I‘d be doing it in my living room at home!” The force is with this young Jedi, and we are sure these first three Knee Deep nights will not be his last in Ibiza. Hot Since 82 is playing at his own Knee Deep in Ibiza nights at Pacha on June 24th and July 15th. Catch him also at Space for Elrow on July 2nd and Warriors at Sankeys on July 24th.

I’m huddled on the dancefloor, glass of Sangria in one hand, a slice of fresh pineapple in the other, Es Vedra to my right, Ibiza to my left, the sun overhead and the sound of quality house music drifting on the sea breeze. Life is good! Very good! If only I could do this every Saturday... The Ibiza boat party has become a rite of passage for the thousands of party people who flock to the White Isle every week throughout the summer and Noah’s Ark, the official Zoo Project Boat Party, is one of the wildest in the Balearic waters. Each and every Saturday, hundreds of ravers board the ark, hitting the high seas of the
Mediterranean on a voyage to the mystical island of Es Vedra accompanied by a Zoo entourage of acrobats, dancers, a couple of gorillas and the occasional panda. The Zoo on the waves is not for the faint-hearted! Each week, a selection of Zoo artists play alongside special guest DJs providing a bespoke soundtrack of house and techno. When I set sail with the Noah’s Ark crew for this year’s opening party back in May, none other than Secondcity captained the DJ booth. The UK house producer, best known for last year’s summer anthem ‘I Wanna Feel’ served up the perfect dose of basstinged grooves occasionally going back-to-back with rising Liverpool talent Kydus.
The boat is fully equipped with a Function One sound system so there’s no holding back whatsoever when it comes to sound. By the time we hit Es Vedra, the boat is truly rocking! Free food and drink is included with every ticket as well as free entry, transport and queue jump for the legendary daytime fiesta The Zoo Project so there’s none of the usual discussions afterwards about where to keep the party going. Everyone on board moves as one to the Zoo so before you know it you’re giving it everything, hands in the air, lost across four open-air arenas of music and performance. All in all, Noah’s Ark is the perfect way to start your Zoo experience. Food, drink, dancing and a dip in the ocean before heading straight to the old abandoned Zoo to get down with nature under the sun and stars. OF IBEING REBELLIUS THE CAPADI REBELS BOAT Capadi Rebels, one of the most renowned and fun-loving boat parties of Ibiza, invite you to jump aboard their sailing catamaran and spend a full 5 hours on the open sea, to the sounds of cuttingedge underground music. The boats depart twice per week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, from Marina Botafoch – the most stylish and beautiful port of the whole island. At 15.30h the guests are asked to come to Tantra bar in Playa d’en Bossa, to be taken from there to the port on a free bus. You will be accompanied by approximately 150 like-minded people who will have come to Ibiza from all over the world

on the boat this year to deliver the especially crisp sound of deep house, tech house, techno and all sorts of underground music Capadi resident DJs will be spinning, regularly joined by surprise guests DJs.
to make the most of each minute they spend on this magic island. The boat sails at 17.00h and comes back to the port at 22.00h. This is the ideal schedule, since you miss the scorching heat of the afternoon and can enjoy the magnificent Balearic sunset from the water. You will come close to the famous Es Vedra rock, surrounded by legends and miracles, visit a secret cove, take a plunge into the crystal clear waters and admire the picturesque coastline of Ibiza. Many pleasant surprises are in store for you – and all of this will happen while you are partying non-stop!
Being environmentally conscious, Rebels have chosen a route that doesn’t harm the fragile ecosystem of the sea. Along with spirits, they offer smoothies, fresh juices and coconut water for purchase, as well as fresh fruit and vegetarian finger food. During the first 2.5 hours open bar will be offered to everyone – feel free to order the drink of your choice from the wide assortment available. A brand new sound system has been installed
Once the trip is over, all the rebels are returned to Playa d’en Bossa on a free bus, where they are invited to carry on at Tantra, one of the busiest bars of this popular party resort. Another option for nighttime is to head to Sankeys – every guest of the boat has one free pass to enter the club on any chosen night before 00.30. Remember that the Rebels are in charge of the Spektrum room in Sankeys on Sundays, supporting Viva Warriors crew with Steve Lawler as the standard-bearer. Departures: Every Tuesday and Friday at 17.00h from Marina Botafoch. Meeting Point & Tickets: Tantra bar in Playa d‘en Bossa at 15.30h. Info & Tickets: www.thankgodwearerebels.com

BOAT PARTY
BOAT PARTY
A TRIP WITH CAPTAIN
FUN
THE SAILING CIRCUS OF CIRQUE DE LA NUIT
One hundred boats! The sheer number of parties the Cirque de la Nuit guys are putting on over this season speaks for their experience as trusted boat party operators. On May 7th their first ship already set sail from Playa d‘en Bossa and it will be October 8th when their last boat departs, to provide those discerning closing party clubbers an opportunity to party at sea.
76
TheClubbingBible.Net
With Cirque de la Nuit you can rest assured that these guys are no amateurs! Since their start in 2013 they have brought quality, customer service and professionalism to the boat party scene. A passionate team will take care of even the most minute details and do their utmost to make your stay on the boat as memorable as it can get. The four hour trip includes a swim stop, the VOID sound system fine tuned by their friends at Sankeys and of course an open bar. On offer are free sangria and beer, cava, soft drinks and of course a selection of your favourite
cocktails. And no need for queuing either, the smiling staff will happily serve your drink directly to the open air party deck. Unlike many other boats, the music and DJs on a Cirque de la Nuit boat are anything but second rate. The VOID speakers are crisp, powerful and clear and with collaborations with some of the most popular promoters on the island and resident DJ Ryan Platts is often joined by heavyweights of the underground house and techno scene. Past seasons saw guest appearances by Solomun, Seth Troxler, Guy Gerber, Dennis Ferrer, Miss Kittin, tINI, PanPot, H.O.S.H., Andrea Oliva, Darius Syrossian and many more. The Cirque de la Nuit has already promised some huge DJ surprises for this summer. With a floating dancefloor beneath you, you can always blame the swell for any failed dance-moves and with the fresh sea breeze in
your nostrils you‘re on the healthiest dance floor in the world! As soon as you get back on terrafirma, the sailing circus will give you a part(y)ing gift: entry to Sankeys (on any day), entry to Privilege (any day except Saturday) and another entry to Ibiza Rocks for your dose of live music (Wednesday or Friday). This is a total of 4 parties, you‘ll be sorted for most of your party week! And we must say at an incredibly fair price. The scene is set, Cirque de la Nuit has already hosted some forty amazing parties, so get booked now and don your swimsuit! The Circus hits the sea!
Departures: Almost daily from June to September Meeting Point & Warm Up: Terminal 1 (located vis-a-vis to Sankeys) at 12:00. Boarding Time: 13:00. Specials: 6 hours Open Bar, Pool After Party with BBQ, 1 entry to Sankeys Info: www.cdlnibiza.com

IBIZACLUB
HUB Clubbing in Ibiza is a costly affair. Not only are hotels and villas getting more expensive with each season – entrance to a nightclub costs quite a fortune, especially if it is a strong party brand with heavyweight DJs. When it comes to the price of drinks, there are really no limits. A small bottle of water for €10 is quite a bargain on a big dancefloor, and if you plan to have a cocktail in a nightclub, make sure you have at least €20 in your pocket. Admittedly if
78
TheClubbingBible.Net
you order a mixed drink, the amount of spirits there will be pretty generous – yet this doesn’t fully justify the premium price. However, there are ways to spend reasonably, not sacrificing any of the perks. Ibiza Club Hub is a project created exactly with this very aim in mind: to help you have the maximum fun while spending the minimum. They select the best package offers for you and guide you along the best party routes with no extra charges.
T h i s summer Ibiza Club Hub offers s e d u c t i v e bargains in collaboration with the following venues: Terminal 1 in Playa d’en Bossa, located next to Sankeys, Tantra in Playa d’en Bossa, situated next to Space and Ushuaïa, Rio in San Antonio and Zoo Bar that boasts quite a premium location on the front line of Ibiza Town port. Wherever you stay, you can choose among these spots the one that most appeals for you, and spend a few hours there surrounded by like-minded people and colourful party people. The following is just an example of one of the packages: A ticket for €69,99 on Saturday gets you a pool party at Terminal 1 in Playa d’en Bossa (official pre-party for the Zoo Project) with 3 hours of open bar, followed by a fun-filled evening at the
Zoo Project. On the other nights Ibiza Club Hub packages include the entrance to Ibiza Rocks, Sankeys and Privilege - all in all, 5 parties at a perfectly affordable price to choose from. Transport is included in the cost, so you don’t have to pay extra for taxis or buses. To help you get the most out of your Ibiza holidays, everything is tailor-made and carefully planned. In addition to the package itself, all the clients of Ibiza Club Hub receive the most up-to-date information on this week’s top deals for free, which enables them to make further plans in advance. That’s twice as precious, taking into account how unpredictable our island is. Ibiza Club Hub is a great opportunity to save money, make new friends and see those facets of Ibiza that you’ve never witnessed before. Feel free to join in and to enjoy the summer of your life all together! For more info and to stay up-to-date check out www.ibizaclubhub.com
