The Every One Every Day initiative is grounded in ten years of deep engagement with those at the forefront of developing ‘participation culture’ around the world. The design has been built on research aimed at developing an approach that is able to foster more of these new types of inclusive participation projects. Especially in the current context of climate change, a global pandemic and the rise of living costs, this approach is a key building block for shifting deep-rooted perceptions of the area, by co-creating sustainable urban neighbourhoods for the future, with our own two hands.

ABOUT EVERY ONE EVERY DAY

Every One Every Day is an initiative run by Participatory City Foundation, aiming to build the first large scale, fully inclusive, practical participation ecosystem in London’s borough of Barking and Dagenham. Everyone’s Warehouse is one of five physical locations of the initiative. This 7 million pound funded initiative is the first of its kind and builds 1000s of opportunities for local residents to learn, make, repair and connect to create thriving, resilient and greener neighbourhoods.

As part of the pathways for people to develop deeper making skills, Every One Every Day runs several learning and business programmes every quarter, designing in the full experience of learning making and production skills, operating workshops, teamworking, as well as designing, marketing, packaging, all the way through to test-trading and running pop-up shops.

NEXT STEPS We accept expressions of interest throughout the year but are aiming to start another round of onboarding makers in October 2022. We invite applicants to come to an Open Day at the Warehouse in September to learn more about this opportunity. If you’re interested, please fill out the form to say you’d like to register your interest. You will then be contacted by Iris or Hayley with follow up details.
