Madison Watkins Stopped By
We had artist, Madison Watkins, stop in during our volunteer training for FC! Our volunteers were so surprised and blessed! Most of them were 1st time volunteer!

Our faithful listener, Michael, lost his wife, Susan, to cancer on Easter Sunday. He reached out several times for prayer and just to thank WPER for being here. This is what he sent the day of Susan’s funeral:
“This radio station is God’s heartbeat to a lost world”
Message sent with an online gift: “To God goes the glory. I was lifted out of a dark hole yesterday because of WPER. God said, listen to this message and know that I am still with you!”
Light for the Kingdom in the Dark (Email from Listener)
“Thank you for all the years this ministry has encouraged me with a song, word, devotional in season, and for how you are a light for the Kingdom in the darkness of this world. Thank you!” – Anna
Received this email from a listener just passing through the area during our fundraiser:
“I want to say Thank You for your radio station. I am a missionary who came to the U.S. for a week and was driving around to preach in different churches, and it’s such a blessing to hear Christian radio!
I have been to jail, been shot for the sake of the gospel but I can rejoice when I hear worship and sing in freedom!
May God bless you and I pray that you will be able to raise money for the station. Blessings to you all.”

Cake & Pie!
Sometimes it’s the WPER team that is the recipient of a God wink! Our sweet friend, Mary, surprised us on Day 1 of fundraising with these homemade cakes and pies!

Lunch Blessing
Peak Roofing blessed the team and our volunteers with lunch during our Spring Fundraiser!

Our friend, Linda, painted this rock for us!

Made for S’more
Had some volunteers back in the station to do post FC mailings! It was a great time of fellowship. One of our volunteers, Abigail, even made us a s’more dessert that she dubbed “Made For S’more”.

FredNats Game
Enjoy some favorite moments from the FredNats game we attended.
Donors, Rita and Charlie, volunteering at the Fred Nats game. We blessed Charlie with throwing the first pitch!

We were blessed to spend some time with new donors at the game!

Thank you all for a great time last night at Fred Nats game! It was very nice meeting you all! My family was very blessed to be your guest. Praise the Lord for He is good! Love in Jesus, Mike & Tammy

Kizzy and her family won tickets to the Fred Nats game. She was a recipient of our Single Parent Saturday. She and her husband were separated at that time and we prayed with her. They have now reconciled and he was at the game with her and their girls!
We had a listener that won tickets to the FredNats game approach us last night. She said she was a recipient of our Single Parent Saturday in the fall and that we prayed with her. Since then, her marriage has been restored and her husband was at the game with her! She is so thankful to WPER for being there for her!
WPER is Like a Hug From God (Email from Listener)
“I moved to Virginia a year and a half ago. When I moved here from KY everything was new and kind of scary. My children and I took a leap of faith moving 9 hours from our family. The first morning I got in my car while living here, the only station that would come in was WPER and the first words I heard was “Welcome Home” and I thought ok God, I hear ya! This is where I’m supposed to be! My radio is constantly on WPER. We’ve now been here for awhile and everyday that I get in my car, WPER is like a hug from God.
Thank you from the listeners who find this station and the peace it gives so many.

We had our 1st Hometown Pop-Up stop of the season in Montpelier! It was a little bit of a rainy day but we still had a few of our listeners from the area come out for some fresh ice cold lemonade and to spin the prize wheel for some free WPER swag. Some good fellowship with local friends!!! Thank you to Paws Cienda Pet Resort for having us out!

Amazing friend of the ministry, Montpelier Mike, stopped by our Hometown Pop-up in aMontpelier for some lemonade and fellowship with Eric from the Morning Show and volunteer Eric!

Listener “Gitt” stopped by the Pop-Up. He found WPER about 5 years ago and said listening to the station keeps him peaceful, and his anxiety at bay!
God Uses WPER To Calm Anxiety
(Phone call from Listener)
“My daughter, Clara, is 13 and has dystonia. Dystonia is a neurological movement disorder characterized by involuntary muscle contractions, causing twisting and repetitive movements, and often painful spasms. Clara is currently having full body episodes so we called 911, who then transferred her to Duke University Hospital. When I was going to meet them at the hospital, WPER played “Turn” by Ben Fuller, and then “Still Waters Psalm 23” by Leanna Crawford. I instantly stopped being fully anxious. I knew God was using WPER and those songs to help us through this. Clara now listens to “Still Waters” on repeat when she cannot control the muscle movements and is in severe pain. Those songs are a reminder that God is there for us, and can and will turn things around!
“WPER is a fantastic ministry. It is raining outside and extremely cloudy, however, when turning on WPER, the sun begins to shine for the real Son - it brightens the day for me every morning. WPER radiates His love consistently.”
— Brenda
“I always enjoy listening to the music every day. The station praises with me when I’m happy and carries me through it when I’m sad or having a rough day- but I’m glad to have it with me with every day.”

I want to say thank you to WPER ! I listen everyday to help my heart and mind stay in Jesus. I really love ‘Unsung Hero’. It makes me cry every time, just remembering my Mother. My newest favorite is Mercy Me’s ‘Oh Death’. I could listen to Mercy Me all day. Thank you all again. Also, thank you Eric! You called me after the fundraiser to check in with me. The fact that you guys actually care is amazing!”
Dominic
