Card & Casserole

We had a group from CYT in the station last week for an interview. Today we received this yummy breakfast casserole and a sweet note!

A Heartfelt Card

We received a heartfelt card from our dear friend— and personal encourager—Terry. After the recent loss of her husband, we were honored to bless her with a memorial wind chime as a small reminder that she is loved and remembered during this difficult time.

We surprised donor/volunteer Mark with the 1st Pitch!

We had the joy of treating this sweet girl to ice cream— courtesy of her favorite radio station! Her mom even shared the special moment on our Facebook page!

30,000 diapers and 200 packs of wipes

collected for WPER’s 1st Annual Diaper Drive

Bloom by PRC, Richmond location. Robin and her team collected almost 8,000 diapers and 140 boxes of wipes.

Choices Women’s Center received 10-12 boxes of diapers. They said “THANK YOU SO MUCH WPER! The diapers have been such a blessing to the families in our community that are struggling right now. Thank you for helping to fill our diaper closet!”

Over 10,000 diapers and 194 packs of wipes were received at the WPER studio to be distributed to local organizations.

We had the joy of serving dinner and ice cream to first-time donors—Dakota and her children, McKenna and Wyatt, along with Chuck and his family—at the baseball game!

“God is still working on me everyday, and it has been a hard, and sometimes dark, 6 months. But I am grateful for WPER because God has spoken to me in music a lot in my life, especially in the last 6 months. With WPER on in my car all the time, not only do I keep that space open for growth in my heart but my children get to listen to it all the time!”

“I only listen to WPER — it keeps me centered on Jesus.”

— Chuck, police officer that re-dedicated his life to Jesus in March and got baptized again

I want to say thank you to WPER ! I listen everyday to help my heart and mind stay in Jesus. I really love ‘Unsung Hero’. It makes me cry every time, just remembering my Mother. My newest favorite is Mercy Me’s ‘Oh Death’. I could listen to Mercy Me all day. Thank you all again. Also, thank you Eric! You called me after the fundraiser to check in with me. The fact that you guys actually care is amazing!”
