WPER Has Changed My Life
(Email from listener)
“I came upon WPER a couple of years ago. Listening and becoming part of an amazing group of people has changed my life in a beautiful way. I am blessed and forever grateful! Thank you, Blue”
Teacher Finds Renewed Purpose
(Received an email in response to our “new” Saturday evening show)
“Thank you for bringing back some of the old songs on Saturday nights! I have to share the moment I just had. I am a teacher and have been struggling lately with staying motivated. Honestly, I am tired and stretched too thin. I have asked God repeatedly in the past few months to guide me where He wants me, because I have started to think about giving up on teaching. Hearing the song “God of the City” reminds me that there are so many more things to be done; so many more students to touch, lessons to be taught and lives to be changed. And now I know that I can’t give up. Your ministry reaches so far and says so much more than you can know, thank you!”
Love & Laughter Donor Reception
We had a Donor Reception with light hors d’oeuvre’s and dessert for some of our major donors before the Night of Love and Laughter. It was such a great turn out!

We had a sold out crowd of 800 people for our Night of Love & Laughter! We had a photo booth, the WPER table and merchandise available for our guests. And Danny Johnson did not disappoint!! Even the church security joined in on the fun of the night!

“Best part of my weekend was attending Night of Love and Laughter, and hanging out with friends I hadn’t seen in a while. I laughed so much my face hurt (from smiling too)!”

Night to Shine
Our second annual Night To Shine was Friday, February 7th at Fairmount Christian Church. We got to interact with so many of the guests, which made it an amazing experience. It was great to see so many people helping make this night a special time for everyone who attended.

Station Tour! Guarding Hearts Homeschool came by WPER to tour our station. We had two groups visit, and this is the second group. We had a total of 29 people between the 2 tours!!

Theresa Receives a Blessing
Theresa was on the receiving end of this fun experience! Our friend and donor, Val, surprised Theresa with this baby “cake.” It was full of diapers, socks, bibs, baby wash and much more for Theresa’s sweet, new grandson. Our listeners give US the experiences so often and we are humbled!

Monika and her husband Caleb have a radio station in Liberia! She came by the station today for a tour and to get some “radio advice” from Dwayne.
Your Music Helps Me
(Michelle signed up for the 30 Day Challenge and shared why she listens to WPER)
“Your music is so inspirational. I lost my son Jeremy in 2018. I know I’ll grieve the rest of my life, but your music helps me through the good and bad days!”
Motivational Program
(Message from a listener that took the 30 Day Challenge)
“My challenge experience has been amazing. Thanks for having such a motivational program for staying connected with Jesus Christ through radio broadcasting ministry. I look forward to receiving the magnet!”
Jamie MacDonald
Visits the Station
We had a new artist, Jamie MacDonald, visit the station. We invited a few of our new donors to spend the afternoon with the WPER team and Jamie. We had light refreshments, gave a tour of the station and they got to listen to Jamie’s testimony and some of her new songs. Everyone had such a great time and the new donors were so excited that we invited them to the station!

Thankful for a New Heart (from the Prayer Wall)
“I would just like to thank WPER radio. Your station has lifted my spirits so much for all that I’ve been going through. A little example is for 4 years my husband has been dealing with a heart issue and now he has a new heart as of February 14, and he is getting better each day! God is good all the time. We were blessed with a new heart and God is a miracle-working God! I love the Lord Jesus and love WPER radio! Thank you for keeping me in great spirits every day and God bless you all!!”

We had Pastor Mike, and his wife, Lisa, from Hope For Appalachia (H4A), come by the station for fellowship. They gave us more insight and detail into exactly what this ministry partner does for local communities, as well as the impoverished in Kentucky, and how WPER can help. WPER has partnered with H4A for almost 10 years!
Thankful for WPER (Message from social)
“I’m thankful for the team at WPER and all they do on a daily basis to inspire us to live passionately for Jesus Christ.”
“My car radio stays on WPER. I know that every time I drive I’m going to enjoy uplifting music and ministry from the WPER team. But I realized that listening in my car isn’t enough. I am now using WPER as my companion any time I can. Usually at home I will have TV or podcasts playing if I want something to listen to. Now I’m going to replace that with WPER and I know it will have a positive impact, just like it did the first time I listened over 15 years ago!”
