Event 1:

WPER had a table at Bethlehem Walk in Manakin-Sabot, VA. This is there 22nd year putting this amazing event on and we were invited for their opening night.

Event 2: Grace Christian School in Mechanicsville puts on this “Giving Thanks” Thanksgiving meal and celebration every year for their students and families, and we have been invited to be there for the past two years. WPER is spotlighted at the event and we get to speak to the group!

Event 3-5:

WPER was able to be in 3 Christmas parades !

The Ashland Holiday Parade, Warrenton Christmas Parade and Fredericksburg Christmas Parade.

DECEMBER

We had our annual Hope for Appalachia Blanket, Hat and Gloves Drive Collection, with over 25 drop-off locations where listeners this year. We collected more blankets this year than ever before!

Pastor Mike had to bring a 2nd trailer we had so many donations!

Received this message from a listener:

“God has provided so many blessings in our lives! He is so faithful and loving. WPER is definitely a blessing as you all have helped us through so many difficult times in past years. Listening to your station and your prayer requests online has been such a blessing. I am very thankful for you. Theresa, you have definitely helped me through the most difficult year in 2006 when both of my parents passed 6 weeks apart. I love you and WPER. Blessings, Susie and family”

A message for Happy from a listener: “Happy, Thank you for being there every Saturday morning for years. Saturday mornings have been a hard time for me. I look forward to hearing your voice and I know God‘s got this.”

Our engagement numbers on social went up in the month of December! We loved talking with you through social, and inspiring you to live passionately for Jesus through the Christmas season.

We blessed a listener with tickets to The Bethlehem Walk in Goochland, VA. She sent this sweet email: “This was such an awesome experience, thank you so much for offering these tickets to me. I got to go with a friend which meant we got to spend some much-needed time together. What a blessing! I had no idea they do this. So well done. Such a great way to tell the story from the bible in a way that make is so much more real!”
