“Rhonda you mentioned different occupations that people have and to never forget how God can use you in that position to bless others and to be blessed by others. I work in a doctor’s office checking patients in for their appointment and this is exactly one of the jobs you mentioned. I pray for my patients daily, and let time tell ya they are a blessing to me! I prayed for the Holy Spirit to lead me to a patient today that needed it, and He answered!! I listen to WCQR every day. You all are truly such a blessing and I love the way the Lord uses you all to spread His love. I pray for this radio ministry every day, and especially praying for the upcoming fall fundraiser! Love you all!!”

Unexpected Reach

Rhonda Lacey was invited to give the invocation at the Truck Race at Bristol Motor Speedway on 9/11. It was a heavy day, and her prayer was eloquent and called on the love and grace of the Father. It was also broadcast on national television!

Then... Rhonda received this voicemail from a gentleman who looked up Rhonda and the station online. He had lived in Tennessee, but a couple of hours further westhe had/has never listened to WCQR!

WCQR and God have always been here for all the seasons but especially the last year and half battling cancer. Yesterday we finally got good news that the last medicine was working after many failed chemos. Gods plan and timeline not mine has been a hard lesson to learn. But, God can do anything. Thank you WCQR for being uplifting and encouraging to my little one too!

I was stuck being a lukewarm Christian, but then I turned to WCQR when I saw a sign and it truly allowed me to know God instead of just knowing of him.

My husband died by suicide in May. I have had a hard time losing my husband. My heart is broken. We were married 25 years. Our son struggles and misses his dad very much. Tomorrow will be four months since he left us to go home to Jesus. Today is a very hard day for me. Music has been very good for me with my grieving. Thank you for what you all are doing.

I’ve slept in my vehicle in Kingsport since April of this year, and I really don’t know how much longer I’ll miss the opportunities God is trying to provide for me, or if he just has me in a season of wilderness, but one thing I do know is that the encouragement I receive from WCQR is even more vital in difficult circumstances. So thank you all for this amazing Ministry.

I am turning 21 on Saturday and this a birthday present to myself because I love the station so much. The most important decision we can make is to give our lives to Jesus and that is what this station promotes and encourages.

There are too many stories to list here. Stories of redemption, healing, newly-found faith, “the right song at the right time,” or just God showing up in incredible ways. One incredible way we saw God this year was that He made it possible for WCQR to end our fundraiser in 5 1/2 days! We are so grateful for each and every donor, prayer warrior, volunteer, and friend of the ministry. Thank you, and look at what God is doing!
