Faith, Family, Fun
One of our wonderful volunteers Kyle was in a local theater production of Cinderella. He played the King, so a few of us went to watch in support. We also ran into one of our favorite WCQR kiddos there, Clay!

“You and Adam are my favorites in the morning! I love love LOVE all the funny jokes and moments y’all have, because I look crazy laughing along side you guys in my car thank you for being funny and having such great personalities! - Amber”

The Blake Family stopped by for a visit since the kids were out of school. Joseph had just turned 8 years old on Saturday.
A New Life Dedicated:
“Hi! My little 7 year old Bailee gave her life to Jesus Wednesday night at 7 and she wanted me to be sure that I called and let Christian and Amanda know!! Honestly didn’t realize she was listening so closely to know your alls names but she wanted me to let you all know! Keep doing what you’re doing!”

Mother’s Day Memories Giveaway!
Kim McCugh was our Mother’s Day Memories winner! She picked up her gift basket on Monday the 5th. Kim’s note with her entry was this:

“My mom was so unselfish, would invite people over for holiday dinners that didn’t have anywhere to go or couldn’t afford it. She was diagnosed with breast cancer, lymphoma, & lung cancer but even though she was sick she witnessed to people, gave Bible studies and even prayed for people & God healed them! After her death people she prayed for, had Bible studies with went to church are living for God today! Her legacy still lives on!”

Social Entert(AI)nment:
We followed a social media trend that was to upload a photo to ChatGPT and have it roast the subjects. We proceeded to do that with our Morning show and got some great laughs! A few brave followers even sent us their photos to have ChatGPT roast THEM! Click below to see the post on Facebook to view the Roasts.

A Scavenger Hunt that Included WCQR
Olivia and her mom Miranda stopped by the station on May 23rd, Olivia’s last day of school. Miranda had a scavenger hunt for Olivia, and one of the stops was here at the station. Olivia loves WCQR, and even recorded some things for us while she was visiting.

Thanking Our Donors with Faith, Family, Fun, & FOOD. WCQR hosted a Donor Cookout on May 31st, and around 75 donors and volunteers came out to Rotary Park in Johnson City to enjoy burgers, hot dogs, games, coloring, and the splash pad. A quote from Rhonda: “Of course, the most fun I had was spending time with “my” kids. I don’t have kids of my own and there are lots of kiddos I have gotten to know through the station - it is the best feeling in the world when they see me and yell “Rhonda!” and jump into my arms for a hug.”

“Thanks for always being there and sharing the ministry of Jesus. It has been a difficult year and 1/2 for me and WCQR has really helped me keep going. Love you all.” - Tracy
