Perfect Song at the Perfect Time
(message from “Tell Your Story” on the WCQR website)
“Yesterday was the first anniversary of my dad’s entrance to heaven. As I was driving to Mom’s for the day I was feeling overwhelmed by grief when my favorite happy song came on WCQR , ‘All Joy No Stress.’ It suddenly dawned on me that Dad is joyously celebrating with Jesus and has no stress, no pain, no worries. Heaven is all joy, no stress.
The timing of that song and the new interpretation was a blessing straight from God. Thank you WCQR .”

What a wonderful first Coffee Stop of 2025! We got to meet so many of our young listeners, like Joshua and Autumn, and then many of our listeners who we haven’t been able to meet yet, like Vega, Faith and Martin, and Curtis.

(from Joshua’s mom): “Joshua loved meeting you all today! He’s excited to get a shout out on Monday and wanted me to tell you all he forgot to say he has his own Facebook page “JJ the Junior Foodie” he wanted to make sure you knew about. Thank you for making his day!”

We had such a great time at The Coffee Company for Coffee Stops #2. Hugs, smiles, and dad jokes galore! Meeting new family for the first time (like Chloe and Elise) or getting to catch up with long-time family (like Candy, Terry, Mike) is just one of our favorite things. Shoutout to Curtis, Kensi, Trisha, Susan, Amy, Madison, Allison, Joseph, Tesla, Monica, Leah, and the many others. Also, we’d like to thank Citizens Bank for sponsoring our event and making it possible.

God Uses WCQR to Speak to Listeners (message from “Tell Your Story” on the WCQR website)
“I started listening to 88.3 around 3 years ago during the spring fundraiser and the first song I heard was Brandon Lake’s song, “Gratitude.” It hit me so hard. I knew God was speaking to me because I was just turning my life back over to God after wandering away from him. That’s why it’s so important to support WCQR. At any time a song could be played that speaks to someone’s heart like “Gratitude” did for me. God is always with us; we might not think He is, but He is.” ~Toby

Other people shared their own stories in the comments to this testimony video we shared.
Testimony 1:
“I have had so many moments similar to this, the messages and encouragement that I receive from WCQR are a lifeline for me. Giving me hope and strength during the difficult times and sharing in the beautiful joys of life too! I am so very grateful for everyone at WCQR and all the supporters. God bless you!
- Linda
Testimony 2:
“From November through early January, my husband was suffering tremendously in his fight with cancer. I spent many nights in the hospital with him, playing the 88.3fm WCQR app for him and singing to him. It really kept us strong in Christ. He passed on January 11 of this year.
Now I spend every day listening to WCQR on our Alexa at home (it goes on when the coffee does) and in the car—I don’t listen to anything else anymore. It’s sometimes one of the only things that helps me and my kids… though we know and pray to God every day too.
The music is the way we remember their dad. He would sometimes sing along, but would usually tap my arm and nod towards the kids—cuz they’d be singing loud and he’d be listening intently with a smile on his face. “I Can Only Imagine” & “Even If” (both by MercyMe) were his favorites. I struggle to listen to them anymore but maybe someday, it will be easier.
Thank you WCQR for sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ every day and being what all of us need (besides Jesus).”
- Madison

Testimony 3:
“God has lifted me up more than once just remember what Jesus went through just because He loves us so much He actually held the world on his shoulders. He shed His blood so we can be forgiven. Zac Williams has a song called “Rescue Story,” and if you want, WCQR will gladly play it for you. God will never leave you nor forsake you.
I know times get tough-that’s satan-tell him to get behind you because you can do ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS YOU. God’s word is an amazing place to go when your down. Read that and you’ll be shouting all for the Glory of God. Thanks for sharing your story, it helped me, and thank you 88.3 WCQR, YOUR WORDS AND MUSIC HAVE PULLED ME FROM THE PIT. PRAISE THE LORD I SAW THE LIGHT!!! God bless you all in what you do.”
- Penny
Testimony 4:
“I don’t know how many times I’ve heard just the right song, or words of encouragement, when I needed it the most!!! Thank you God and WCQR!!”
- Kristina
Testimony 5:
“Amen! I’m so glad and blessed that we have WCQR!!! It’s so great to see God working thru y’all... I’m really glad that this listener listened to 88.3 WCQR, and heard what God was saying!”
- Kelli
Testimony 6:
“Amen and amen! Please be a supporter of WCQR, if possible! You will be so very blessed by supporting them and their cause to witness for Christ Jesus, and to always be there for the ones hurting and overwhelmed.
I thank God for this station and love supporting them. I never miss the money and I feel I am a part of them in telling listeners about the Love of God. God bless all of you at WCQR richly and may you be blessed by more supporters this year! We thank God again for you and your faithfulness to Jesus. May many come to Christ Jesus through your ministry this year, more than ever. Peace of Christ!”

AMANDA GOT HER COOKIES!

We got this message from a friend, Tiffany, as we were headed home from the coffee stop: “I was so so so happy to see you all at the red light when you were heading home!! I had a meeting I needed to be at, but my car had broken down on the way there, so my husband had to come get me. I was a mess and talking to my dad on the phone when I saw you pull up and couldn’t not tell you how much I love you all. It made my day!”
Later, Kelli posted this comment on our Coffee Stop post on Facebook:
“Y’all absolutely made me feel like I was the most important person on the face of the earth when I came to see you! You made my day! I had a blast!!! It was so nice to meet y’all!”

We always love getting “snail mail” from our donors and listeners! Thank you!!

“Your kindness and support have brought us so much joy, and it truly means the world to us. You have blessed our family more than you know, and we are incredibly grateful. May God continue to bless your station and the wonderful work you do!”

WCQR has kept me encouraged since I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ in September. I’m so thankful I found you all. I work in manufacturing, and listen on the app all day at work. listener
