4th of July Cake!

Henry called in during the afternoon show about 4th of July foods to talk about a red white and blue cake. His mom Ginger sent us a photo on Facebook with this message: “Henry from Kingsport. God bless y’all & Happy 4th!”

Mason’s Birthday: a Message from his Mom I want to thank you all for making Mason’s day yesterday. He said “mom my face hurts from grinning!” Thank you for all that you did and for the radio station of the work you do. He fell asleep last night on way home from supper and my daughter changed the radio station to see if he realized it and oh he knows real quick. He said “I may be asleep but I don’t hear my station so change it back.” He had a big day. He loves his Jesus. He is wearing one of his shirts today. He looked like a natural behind that microphone yesterday. I pray his love for Jesus never changes and who knows what God has in store for him.

Olivia’s Birthday, too!

Olivia is turning 8 years old, and for her birthday, she asked her mom if she could come visit her family at the station.

Surprise & Delight

“The more you practice the art of thankfulness, the more you have to be thankful for.” Amanda had the opportunity to surprise and delight a WCQR donor this afternoon. She is a local business owner and very active in the community and with her family. This is the first time Amanda and her were able to visit in-person. Of course, Amanda gifted her a candy bouquet of Reese Cups!

Late For Lunch

From Rhonda: Prior to our culture day event, I popped over to our local gas station to fill up. What I didn’t know is that this sweet man named Derek would fill me up with encouragement! I complimented him on his shirt, we started a conversation, and when he learned where I worked, his face lit up brighter than his shirt! He listens to the station daily and told me how much we mean to him. We talked so much that I told him I needed to take a selfie with him to show my team members why I was going to be late for lunch! Love these spontaneous interactions with our listeners!

What an amazing night of faith, family, fun and fellowship. into a mission field last night for FunFest’s concert with to see so many of our listeners for the first time, to see you, and to have authentic worship praising Jesus with our making experiences like FunFest happen with your prayers
