Winter Jam 2025

Friday night, March 7th, we got to attend and have a booth set up for WinterJam in Charleston, WV! It was an awesome night, lots of new friends were made and we got to catch up with old friends! We had a 10 year old girl named Raylee (pictured in polaroid on the cover) that was a two-time cancer survivor, along with having a double hip replacement. Relay for Life honored her fight by making her the spokesperson just last year. She is 3 months into remission; it was amazing getting to talk to her and her mom, and hear her story, they were big Walk FM fans!

We also had a ButterflyHugs® making station set up at our table, where people could create ButterflyHugs® to take and pass out themselves.

Winter

Jam Winner!

(From our WinterJam Super-Fan winner, Haley)

“What a fun 6th birthday for our boy! Thanks to Walk FM for the extra special super fan tickets. We were front row rocking out to some of our very favorites.”

New Listener Needs Prayer (message from listener)

“I started listening this week and I am scared of the week that is coming. My brother is having brain surgery and I am scared of losing him, but listening to Walk FM helps me keep my eyes on God. I know my God loves me and whatever happens will be for the best.”

We called him to follow up and he shared that as we were speaking he was sitting in the waiting room at the hospital, and his brother was in the operating room. We were able to pray with him over the phone as his brother was in surgery! He said that he is so thankful for our station and our prayers.

The American Heritage Girls Troop KY2025 made dozens of Butterfly Hugs for us at their last “Troop Tuesday” meeting!

ButterflyHugs® from Young Listener

We were at Winter Jam, still setting up our table, when a listener found us to give us a bag of ButterflyHugs ® made by his 8-year-old daughter. Said she’s already working on another bag to give us later!

ButterflyHugs® with Kingsbrook Residents

On 3/12 we spent the morning with the residents of Kingsbrook Lifecare Center. Each of these ladies handcrafted a butterfly creation to be forwarded on to someone in need. They also received a butterfly themselves!

Jordan Feliz & Riley Clemmons! March 16, we attended a Jordan Feliz and Riley Clemmons concert at the Vern Riffe Center for the Arts in Portsmouth, Ohio. We had a blast getting to meet with listeners and ticket winners at our booth before the show!

Unexpected Exchange in Walmart

During a trip to Walmart, we met a cashier named James who eagerly shared some exciting news with us. He had recently accepted God into his life, committed to sobriety, and found out he was going to be a dad! We had the chance to connect him with the WalkFM community, and later, we dropped off some goodies to encourage him during this new chapter. He mentioned he’s excited to start listening to help him grow in his faith!

Bob Evans Breakfasts (from Katelyn)

“On

3/11 and 3/13 we spent the evening sharing a meal at Bob Evans with several of our donors from Huntington, WV and Gallipolis, OH. It was a blessing to get to know each of them better and hear stories of how Walk has impacted their lives!”

Career Fair

Our team had the privilege of sharing the power of radio and positive Christian music with the next generation at Summit Elementary School’s Career Fair!

Night of Love & Laughter

March 22nd we hosted a Night of Love and Laughter with comedian Jaron Myers! We saw 200 people, including our very own listeners and donors. Jaron was absolutely hilarious and it was so great to get to fellowship and laugh with our community! We visited with our donors before the show and they played a “secret bingo” game during the show. Our winner of Bingo received a free Walk FM t-shirt. Our photo-booth was a hit as well!

“You guys can make a difference in a lot of people’s lives just by how you talk and the music you play. I want to thank you all for that.”

“Your

Night of Love and Laughter Event was just what I needed this week. Thank you for all that you do.”

“When I am going through times of discouragement or hopelessness I will turn up the Christian music and refocus.”

I feel like Walk FM is a powerful ministry to reach out to other people in the community . It has impacted my family personally. My husband was impacted by this ministry, and Walk FM helped bring him back to the Lord.
