All Aboard for Christmas Cheer!

On November 5th, we hosted our Annual Holiday Movie Night at the Grandin Theatre in Roanoke. It was a wonderful evening filled with fellowship, joy, and the timeless holiday fun of The Polar Express! We were thrilled to see so many people come out to enjoy the movie, and it was an added blessing to serve alongside The Salvation Army—and their cheerful mascot, “Sal”

We received this text from Krissy, a listener, volunteer and good friend of the Spirit Family, after we saw her family at our Annual Holiday Movie night.

Homeschoolers Take Over the Studio!

We recently welcomed a small homeschool group—Home Educators of Rainbow Forest— to our station, and it was such a fun visit! The kids were excited to tour the studios, and they even got to experience what it’s like to record in a real broadcast studio. It was a joy having them with us!

What Are You Thankful For?

We loved reading all the encouraging messages on our “What are you thankful for?” post on Facebook!

(Grace shares a phone call she had with a listener)

“This morning, we received a phone call no one is ever truly prepared for—one that we’d never hope to receive. A husband reached out to share that his beloved wife, a long-time listener and faithful supporter of Spirit FM, had recently gone home to be with the Lord. He told us how deeply she loved this ministry and how she had supported Spirit FM since 1997. Though his heart is heavy with grief, he rejoices knowing she is now in glory. His words moved us profoundly. Even in the midst of sorrow, he felt led to call and share her story—as if Spirit FM were part of his family. What an honor that is. Moments like these remind us how tenderly and powerfully God uses this ministry to touch lives in ways we may never fully see. We are humbled and grateful to walk alongside this dear husband—to pray with him, grieve with him, and rejoice with him in the hope we share in Christ.”

A Night of Music, Ministry & Connection

On November 20th, Spirit FM had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Zach Williams, Crowder, and Matt Maher concert. We were blessed to see so many of our amazing volunteers and familiar faces—and to make meaningful connections with listeners throughout the night.

A Night to Remember

On November 23rd Spirit FM had another opportunity to be in the community at the Micah Tyler God did Concert! Emerson Day and Jordan St. Cyr were amazing openers and created an amazing time of worship to the hearts of the audience fully engaged!!

Grace had the pleasure of talking with Debbie, a listener, on the phone. Below is her telling of that conversation:

“She reaches out to Spirit FM once or twice each week, inviting us to pray with her for her family—something our team is always honored to do. During a recent conversation, we learned that Debbie’s birthday was coming up in November, so our team sent her a card filled with warm wishes and to remind her how loved she is. A week after her birthday, Debbie called again—this time to share how much that simple gesture meant to her. She told us she keeps the card on her nightstand and reads it each morning for encouragement. Moments like these remind us that small acts of kindness don’t require much of our time or capacity, yet they can make a profound difference in someone’s life. A little compassion goes a long way.”
