A Joy FM donor since 2001, and former volunteer, Jim Chesson came by the station! Jim says he loves the station and the great southern gospel music that is played on the air! He also dropped off some CDs that he recorded!

“I am not normally listening to Joy FM during this time because my work does not allow us to stream music anymore. I ended up going to the bank earlier than I normally do. Heading back to work I heard the speaker that said to pick out 10 truths about you from scripture and how he has a cross that proves how much he is loved. It’s exactly what I needed to hear. I have been struggling this week and it’s mostly because I have not felt loved. Thank you for the reminder.” God Has the Best Timing

“Hi. As an avid listener of Joy FM I just want to share something with you. A few months ago I was working very late one Saturday night at church. (I am the cleaner of the church, my husband, myself and young family belong to) It was pitch black outside and I was locking up the building. I turned off the lights, set the alarm, lifted the mop bucket outside and then locked the door. I felt afraid as I fumbled with the key in the lock of the door. I prayed to the Lord that the security lights would quickly come on as I couldn’t see and felt scared. I had been listening to Joy FM that evening as I cleaned and a different programme came on not long before I had finished cleaning for the night. Old Gospel songs were played. Well, just as I was praying for the outside security lights to come on, the song “For His Eye is on the Sparrow and I know He cares for me” was played. Immediately the security lights came on and the moon came out suddenly behind a cloud right above my head! Everything happened at once. I felt comforted and assured that the Lord was looking after me and heard my prayer. It was a profound moment. I don’t know who sang that version of the song but it was beautiful and touched my soul on that late, dark night. Thank you for such a wonderful, encouraging and uplifting Christian radio station. This sweet lady, Joan, is a donor whom I befriended over some common things in our lives. I was able to visit WCQR, a sister station in Tennessee, and called her up to see if she wanted to go out for dinner. We had a wonderful time and plan to meet up again.
