Joy Makes My Day Complete
(Phonecall to Donna)
“Josh is so good. He talks to us! I am also loving Candi on the weekends! It makes my day complete. I can’t get out so I depend on JOY FM . I feel worthless and lost without it.”
Thinking of You
(Email to Wendy)
Oh the wonders one card can do to make someone’s day!
“Morning, I received a “thinking of you” card from you guys. The lady, named Donna, also sent stickers with the sweetest card and wrote something sweet inside as well. Please let her know I needed that. I also did not know that Melody’s dad passed. So let her know I am so very sorry for her loss and yes when both parents are gone it makes you feel like an orphan. Well it made me feel that way. I lost both my parents 1 year apart, 2011 & 2012. So you never get over it, you just hold to the Master’s hem and He takes you along. Thank you again for all you do and keep playing those awesome songs!!”
Donor Creates Handmade Cards
Wendy has been talking with one of our donors since her second day at Joy FM. From the beginning, this sweet donor mentioned she had handmade cards she wanted to send to Joy to share with others. This month, we received them—and oh my—they are absolutely beautiful! Each card was crafted by hand, along with a bag full of bookmarks. She uses her God-given talents to bless others, and we are so grateful. What a beautiful gift and a true blessing to everyone!

Our Father Knows What We Need
(Email to Wendy)
“Greetings! Today in my mail I received an early Birthday Greeting. It is so special and could not have come at a better time.
Last Monday afternoon, I was sitting in my chair feeling like I had run a marathon and could barely breathe and my iWatch started beeping at me. What is that??? My daughter bought it for me last year and I chastised her for spending $1000 on a watch! Well, I went looking through the different faces it has and found a red heart was pulsating. ??? I clicked on it and it said my heart rate was between 33-38 per min. Can I say, that is not good. . . I tried walking around a little bit and sat back down. Finally! I went to bed Monday evening and it woke me up 3 times. . . By then I had looked up what it should be and it was waaaay low. I drove to the ER around 1 a.m. Tuesday. Bottom line, I now have a bluetooth pacemaker for the rest of my life. I am trying to grasp the miracle of that tiny bluetooth device (Seriously? Bluetooth pacemaker! Is it going to play Joy FM to me?!) and the fact that it will always be with me and keep me healthy. . . Just a bit of getting used to that idea.
I told my daughter she may well have saved my life as I had no idea there was a problem and I just ignored feelings for months so exhausted. We are in the midst of moving so of course I am tired! Well! The watch had monitored and recorded the last 5-6 months of my heart rate. The Doctor found the record on the app on my phone which showed it was a really big problem.
My daughter has changed a lot of her demeanor since then; she has a better outlook on life and is excited she made a difference. She has value! After two years of battling cancer, she was pretty whipped. Now God has given her a new outlook. And me? Well, I am resting a lot due to the surgery and as I am looking forward to the future, I received this beautiful Birthday card from Joy FM! I can’t explain how much it means to me that you all took the time to wish me a Happy Birthday and sign it. Thank you so very much. That each of you took the time. . . WOW! Doesn’t our Father know exactly what we need!!!! When we need it!
Thank you to all of you. Please know how much you matter to my everyday life and to the Joy FM listeners ~ you make a difference!”
Today I was talking to a donor about her Day Sponsorship, and of course, we chatted about other things, but one thing stuck out that can be an encouragement to all of us:
“...Her son got saved 14 years ago by something he heard either Melody or Candi say on the Morning Show. They were talking about salvation, and he heard, “Do you know, that you know, that you know,” and that is what led him to the Lord. Because of his salvation, his wife also realized that she was just going to church with no meaning, and she received Christ as her Savior as well.”
Always a Blessing Each and Every Day (Email to Donna)
