182 Miles & $182
Cracker Barrel
We had another successful Cracker Barrel breakfast, getting to know our donors. We had so much fun, and yep…even did a little shopping!

Melody and Candi received this four page letter explaining how Joy FM gives her joy and encourages her to walk. She walks various miles on her treadmill while she listens to Joy. She chose to walk “on treadmill” the miles it would take for her to get from her house to our station. It was 182 miles! While she was walking she decided to give is a donation when she arrived at our door. She wrote us a check for $182! Joy FM not only encourages us to live passionately for Jesus it encourages us to get up and start walking til He comes back!

Catered Breakfast
Parker Webb, from the group Guilford, sent over a catered breakfast for us to enjoy! He is such a sweet friend to us. He will even be on air some with Melody while Candi is out with her baby!

Note to Say Hello
Mr. Sprouse is a dear Joy FM donor, who listens to Joy FM 24/7, and keeps us in his prayers. His dog loves listening to it as well. We are thankful for listeners like him!

Listener’s Card
This sweet listener received a special package from us and this was her response. She also included a donation. Encouragement from a Listener
“Just wanted to send an encouraging message to everyone there. The station is a great blessing to my life each day. I go to bed listening, and wake up listening, to you. I live in Blountville, Tennessee and the station comes in very clear. I live by myself and am on Disability. The songs are uplifting to me and bring me peace. Thanks for all you do.”
Joy FM Helps a Listener Feel Again (from Donna)
“...He wanted to share his story of how God used Joy FM in his life. He had been a caregiver to his mom until she passed and, the remainder of his family had also passed. At one point he stabbed himself and ended up in psychiatric care. He reached out to various prayer lines as he struggled with the anxiety, loneliness, and depression. One trait throughout this time was that he couldn’t cry even though he was so depressed. One day he went to his mom’s room and found an old radio, and tried to find a station. He found Joy FM and heard “I’ll Fly Away!” The Holy Spirit used this song to allow him to cry again and feel love, compassion, and empathy. Then he heard Grey’s Gospel Gold show with “It’s no secret” and again felt this special awakening. Since this time he has been able to share with a friend who is also going through loss. He is so very thankful that he found us and of the impact the songs have had on his life.”
Wedding in Aruba
One of our listeners, who listens to us in Aruba, sent us his wedding photos!
He also had a response to a morning show question: “Keep up the good conversations and music!”

International Goodies from Donors
Some of our dear, sweet donors come by after their European trip, and brought us some doughnuts and magnets from the countries they visited! Our donors are so good to us!
Prayer for Loneliness
(from the Prayer Wall)
“I feel so alone. I feel like when I get one door open there’s another one slamming me in the face. I have tried and tried to do for everyone I can but sometimes I feel like it’s not enough for them. I love my family with all my heart but I feel like no matter how hard I try it’s never good enough. I love the Lord with all my heart and know He’s there, but I still feel so alone. I tried to read my Bible. It is so hard for me to understand so please pray that God will help me. The only blessings I have is when I listen to Joy FM, and listen to Candi and Melody. Sometimes I feel so down that they bring me up a little bit. I work for the school system, taking autistic children to Charlottesville five days a week. Sometimes I just don’e know which way to turn. I love the kids that I take, and I love my family, but I just feel like no one loves me. So please pray for me. Thank you.”

How Great Thou Art
“Hi
Melody! I have been a supporter of Joy FM for many years, and listen to it every day. You and I have talked before when your daughter was getting married but I’m sure you won’t remember. My husband passed away 14 years ago from lung cancer, due to Agent Orange. I was missing him alot today with it being Valentines Day. I have visited his grave site every week for all these 14 years, so I made my way this morning for Valentines. His favorite song was “How Great Thou Art.” On my way from the cemetery, lo and behold, the station played that song! I knew that was my Valentines gift from him. I just want to thank you and the entire station for all you do! I love you guys and will always support the station. Happy Valentines Day, guys!”
Thank You Card from a Donor

Patti dropped off a lot of Butterfly Hugs® for us to send out!
Surprise & Delight
We were able to surprise some wonderful donors with a surprise and delight gift of French Vanilla Coffee and some biscotti biscuits a few weeks ago, and during the snow storm of 2/25, one of them sent this text message to my phone: “Sitting here on a snowy afternoon, in my recliner, wrapped in a warm blanket, sipping French Vanilla Coffee, dipping biscotti and watching a movie.
Ahhhhh.”

Another Surprise & Delight
Yesterday we visited a sweet donor to give her a surprise and delight. John, Josh, Brendan, and I had church around her kitchen table as we listened to her tell us awesome stories about God and how He has worked in her life. We went to give a blessing and received one in return!

Lauren Talley
Josh and Brendan went to Central Baptist Church in Hildebran to hear Lauren Talley sing, and she did not disappoint. She was amazing!
And, just about everyone in the church raised their hand when asked if they listened to Joy FM! We loved being at Central Baptist Church.
Station Lesson
Brendan had some Forsyth Tech Students in the studio to show them how radio works in the real world.

“At 7:28 this morning, Melody prayed a prayer that I needed for encouragement. Thanks for being an encouragement this morning. I appreciate you all! Keep it up.”
“I do love you all. I do love the music, the messages and comments! It’s a blessing to me, and I know other people are like me. God has blessed me beyond words. Each song can touch me.”

Spivey Insurance group wanted to become Business partners with Joy FM because they wanted to give back. They truly feel God is blessing their business out in Indian Trail, and want Joy FM to be a part of the blessing now.
