Relay for Life Night
Joy FM set up at the Relay for Life Night, where Brian Free and Karen Peck and New River performed. John and Wendy brought their significant others, Christy and Alan, to help out at the table. They did a fantastic job and we were thankful to have them help out!
I Feel Like We are Best Friends

I reached out to thank a donor for her generous gift at our fundraiser. This is her response back to me:
“Hey…good morning Melody!! You are so welcome. We love you all so much. It’s really strange that I feel like we are best friends but haven’t met in person. Especially you and Brendon because that’s who I hear the most. Also tell Candi I miss her and hope she’s doing well. Thank you so much for bringing love hope and laughter to a dark scary world.

Prayer at Just the Right Time

I was making thank you calls and a sweet lady answered that seemed overwhelmed. She was driving at the time along with her husband in the car and they were on their way to a doctor’s appointment for him. I thanked her for her gift to us and told her that if she ever needed prayer that we would be honored to pray with her for any need.
She said “Please let me
me pull
over to the side of
the
road
and
put my phone
on speaker so that my
husband
can
hear your prayer.” She did and I was able to pray for her husband who is getting ready to undergo a major back surgery and for her as she has been a caretaker for him for a very long time. She is exhausted, overwhelmed and frightened at what lies ahead for both of them. They were both very emotional but so thankful for the prayer and thankful that God allowed that exchange to occur at the perfect time.
Joy FM Serving in the Community
The Joy FM Family enjoyed helping the local community while serving at a local food bank, Second Harvest Food Bank, in Winston-Salem.
We had a blast separating out the various foods and other items from the boxes, breaking down boxes, and more.
Joseph Habadank & Scotty Inman
Josh and Brendan enjoyed a full night with Joseph Habadank and Scotty Inman. They were at a packed Central Baptist Church in Hildebran, NC. They had a few extra helpers as well with Evie and little Eben.

“We had a 10 year old young man come and help us with our fundraiser. I sent him a little wooden model of a dinosaur and he told his grandma that it made him feel important that he was able to come and be a volunteer. He stuffed many envelope! Lol”

We had a wonderful time eating breakfast with Ed and Rochelle. Two wonderful people who love God and love listening to Joy FM.
