The Integrative Studio at Parsons Strategic Design and Management graduate program worked with Northwell Health (NWH) to address challenges with collaborative and innovative responses.
NWH’s brief included challenge areas focused on data privacy, verification and transitions of care for the person who manages the healthcare of household members, known as the ‘Chief Medical Officers’ (CMO) of the home.
The team used the design-thinking process to better understand the people responsible for the care of other individuals at various intensities, synthesized insights and uncovered the underlying challenge of enabling and empowering CMOs and caregivers throughout their healthcare journeys.
Two complementary solutions were developed:
Digital Patient Experience: A vision for a humanized, user-centered digital experience that addresses common CMO pain points.
The Caregiver Experience: A concept for a new system built for and around caregivers.
