RECIPES

For oily and acne-prone skin

• Neem, Besan, and Yogurt: Neem has antibacterial properties that fight acne-causing bacteria. When combined with exfoliating besan (gram flour) and yogurt, it helps purify the skin and reduce blemishes. Mix 1 tablespoon of neem powder, 1 tablespoon of besan, and 1 tablespoon of yogurt.

• Neem, Tulsi and Rosewater: both neem and tulsi are powerful antibacterial herbs used to fight acne and improve skin texture. Mix 1 tablespoon of neem powder and tulsi powder each with enough rosewater.

For dry and sensitive skin

• Sandalwood and Milk: Sandalwood has soothing, anti-inflammatory properties, while milk provides deep hydration. The combination is gentle and moisturizing. Mix 2 tablespoons of sandalwood powder with enough milk to form a smooth paste.

• Turmeric and Honey: Turmeric’s anti-inflammatory benefits combined with honey’s moisturizing and antibacterial properties make this a hydrating and soothing mask. Combine 1 tablespoon of raw honey with 1 teaspoon of ground turmeric powder.

• Aloe vera and neem: For a calming and antibacterial mask, combine one tablespoon of fresh aloe vera gel with one teaspoon of neem powder. This is ideal for soothing irritation and reducing breakouts on sensitive, acne-prone skin.

For combination skin

• Sandalwood and Rose Water: Sandalwood controls oil and tightens pores, while rose water hydrates and tones without adding extra oil. Mix 1 tablespoon of sandalwood powder with enough rose water to form a paste.

• Besan, Turmeric and Yoghurt: Besan gently exfoliates, turmeric helps brighten and calm the skin, and curd moisturizes and can help with acne due to lactic acid. Mix 2 tablespoons of besan, a pinch of turmeric, and 1 tablespoon of curd.
