At Parisi they believe that self-confidence in the athlete is paramount. After all, sports are as much a mindset as a physical endeavor and it’s imperative for them they are helping to build positive self-esteem in their athletes.

Their performance coaches are trained to address the three foundational components of Self-Esteem - Belonging, Competence and Worth.

Being part of the Parisi family is where the belonging starts for them, then training them in the mechanics of running and skills in acceleration, deceleration, change of direction, top speed, strength and much more. Worth comes in part by learning to see that athletics does not define them as a person, but rather opens doors of opportunity for the unique person they are created to be, and goals they are meant to achieve.

Matt started out his athletic interest at a very young age taking to all sports including baseball, football, Track & Field, and wrestling, all of which he played through high school. During his college years at Rutgers University, he continued his athletic pursuits via the martial arts of Brazilian Jujitsu and Muay Thai, while earning a degree in Exercise Physiology.

Matt’s fascination with the mechanics of the human body instilled in him a passion to pursue and earn a degree and licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant as well as certification as a Message Therapist.
