DRESS CODE 2025-2026

OVERVIEW

PURPOSE

Parker maintains a commitment to standards of dress that are appropriate for the school day. The purpose of the School’s dress code is to:

• Improve student safety by making Parker students easily identifiable.

• Promote the equitable treatment of all students regardless of gender, race, religion, or socio-economic status.

• Create a distraction-free academic environment.

• Create a sense of community among the student body.

• Ensure students’ comfort during the many activities they may participate in throughout the school day.

PARTNERSHIP

All students are checked for dress code compliance daily; this check starts at home. We appreciate the partnership with each parent/guardian to ensure that students arrive at the School in dress code.

GENERAL RULES

In addition to the specific dress code rules for each division listed in this document, the following rules apply to all clothing:

Parker will provide a branded badge clip and/or lanyard to each student at the start of the school year; however, students may use any School-appropriate item to display their ID card.

Lower School/Middle School

Students must keep their ID card attached to their backpack at all times while on campus.

Upper School

Students must wear their ID card visibly on their body at all times during the academic day and during extended day.

IF A STUDENT IS OUT OF DRESS CODE

Middle School

Students who are out of dress code will be sent to the office to meet dress code guidelines. The incident will be recorded as a citizenship reminder in Parker Portal and a parent/guardian will be notified. Continued non-compliance may result in an infraction and removal from class until the student is in dress code. Any borrowed clothing from the office must be returned clean within one week.

Upper School

Students who are out of dress code cannot attend class and their attendance will be marked unexcused. The incident will be recorded as an infraction in Parker Portal and a parent/guardian will be notified. Students can return to class when they are in dress code.
