Fabric & Leather Guidelines
Leather
Leather is only available on selected models: Refer to the brochure or website for details.
Pillow Back Models
Pillow Back Models are not available in leather on either the body or pillows.
Leather Characteristics
Leather is a natural product which can exhibit grain and/or colour variation, wrinkles, scars, scratches and bites, dependent on the specific leather. This is completely normal.
Easycare Fabrics
The Easycare fabric collection is extra durable and has stain resistant power. Almost all household oil and protein based stains can be removed.
Aftercare
Velvets and Chenilles
Pile fabrics, such as Velvets and Chenilles, will tend to crease and shade with use, and will show pressure marks and flattening, which can give the impression of uneven wear. This is not a fault, but a natural characteristic of the fabric construction. Pile fabrics will also shade depending on which way the pile lays and light is reflected. We advise to brush your sofa with a soft bristle brush to help minimise the effects of this.
Dust and Dirt
Fabrics tend to harbour dust, dirt, and pet hairs, especially in horizontal surfaces, this can increase fabric wear and cause dulling and fading of colours. Light, gentle brushing, with a soft brush, can help to minimize this.
Pilling
Short and loose fibres which are woven into fabric during production are present in many fabrics and can cause fabrics to pill, creating small balls of fluff, this is completely natural. We advise to brush your sofa with a soft bristle brush to help minimise the effects of this.
Fabric Treatments
We are unable to accept responsibility for fabrics that are treated in any way other than in the original manufacturing process.
Sunlight
Direct exposure to sunlight can cause fabric or leather colour to fade in a relatively short period of time, therefore it should be avoided.
Dye Transfer
Dye transfer from clothing, especially jeans, can leave colour variation marks on both fabric and leather, particularly on lighter colours.
Oils
Natural body oils, lotions, and creams, along with some medications, can affect the nature of the surface of both fabric and leather, causing colour and surface variation.
Sharp Objects
With both fabric and leather, contact from any type of sharp object should be avoided.
