‭PreK 3 Curriculum Overview‬ ‭ he PreK 3 curriculum focuses on developing key social-emotional, language, and math skills through‬ T ‭engaging, age-appropriate activities. Through developmentally appropriate practices, the curriculum‬ ‭emphasizes independence, communication, and problem-solving, ensuring students are well-prepared for their‬ ‭future academic journey.‬ ‭●‬ I‭MPACT‬‭: The IMPACT Mindsets articulate Parish's belief that in today’s world, information is no longer‬ ‭a commodity. It is not how much a student knows that matters, but what a student can do with that‬ ‭information. Students learn to advocate for themselves, practice responsible independence, and‬ ‭develop effective problem-solving skills. Emphasis is placed on self-control, time management, and‬ ‭organization, while fostering positive interactions and respectful communication with peers. Skills taught‬ ‭include:‬ ‭○‬ ‭Paying attention‬ ‭○‬ ‭Following 1-2 step directions‬ ‭○‬ ‭Following daily routines‬ ‭○‬ ‭Taking turns, sharing, and appropriately communicating with others‬ ‭○‬ ‭Building strength and coordination of muscles for academic and nonacademic activities‬ ‭○‬ ‭Building confidence as learners and a positive relationship with school‬ ‭●‬ ‭Language Arts‬‭: The curriculum emphasizes early literacy‬‭skills such as recognizing letters, identifying‬ ‭sounds, listening to stories, and developing fine motor skills for writing.‬ ‭●‬ ‭Mathematics‬‭: Students learn to count, identify numbers, recognize shapes, compare quantities, and‬ ‭begin understanding patterns and spatial awareness.‬
