Ed Snyder Memorial Golf Tournamen

Hosted by Parents’ Association (PA), Parish Bingo Night is an evening of fundraising and fellowship to celebrate the Parish community. The PA is excited to announce this year’s 50/50 Raffle where one lucky winner will receive half of the total money raised, while Parish gets the other half! Ticket sales launch in August and the winner will be announced at Parish Bingo Night.

A mutually beneficial program, providing businesses an opportunity to spread their messages while supporting programs at Parish. Market your business to the Parish community through on-campus banners, print and digital advertising, and more. Benefit from exposure to not only Parish families, but campus visitors and the broader Dallas community as well.

This annual golf event is a beloved Parish tradition and raises money for the Gloria H. Snyder Financial Aid Endowed Fund which supports the School’s tuition assistance program.

How it Supports Parish

Parish Fund makes up 4% of the School’s overall operating budget. Your unrestricted gifts provide direct funding for educational initiatives that tuition alone does not cover. Every gift directly benefits every student, every day at Parish.

Money raised at Parish Bingo Night, and the events leading up to it, goes toward the School’s operating budget or endowment.

Funds raised directly support Parish students and teachers by helping to provide the quality events, activities and classroom supplies needed for an exceptional education. There are also event underwriting opportunities to support Parish Bingo Night and Ed Snyder Memorial Golf Tournament.

Hosted by the Parish Athletic Booster Club, this fundraising event benefits th tuition assistance program a Parish. Parish’s second Hea of School, Gloria Snyder, and her husband Ed were passionate about making the Parish educational experience accessible to everyone, and tuition assistance helps make this possible.

Blair-Snyder Society (Planned Giving)

Capital or Major Gift Campaign

An endowment fund can be compared to a long-term investment plan. It is a permanent fund in which the principal is invested and the earnings are spent. Endowment gifts ensure a bright future for Parish Episcopal School and its students.

The Blair-Snyder Society is a planned giving program named after Parish’s first two headmasters, Mary Loving Blair and Gloria H. Snyder, who both ensured that their legacy of love for students would continue in perpetuity. Planned giving is a donor’s intention to contribute a major gift beyond their lifetime; gifts such as these greatly benefit the School longterm.

A capital, major gift or comprehensive campaign is a targeted, large-scale fundraising effort that takes place over a defined period of time, and is conducted by the School in order to bring in a large injection of financial investment to support the physical space, programs, endowment or other areas of the School.

Funds raised through membership drives and other activities are ultimately gifted back to the School to purchase items that are above and beyond the operating budget for Athletics, Parish Arts and Parish STEM programs. Examples include new microscopes, robotics sets, digital cameras, costume storage, weight room equipment, championship rings and more.

Yearly earnings from the general endowment are primarily used to supplement the School’s operating budget. In some cases, the earnings are used toward restricted purposes as designated by some donors.

Join the Blair-Snyder Society by naming Parish Episcopal School in your estate plans. Gifts can include bequests, charitable remainder trusts, gift annuities, charitable lead trusts, life insurance policies and select gifts of real estate. There is no minimum gift and gifts may be designated to a specific purpose, department or program, or to the general endowment.

Parish’s most recent capital campaign, Limitless, was completed in 2019 and funded the construction of Gene E. Phillips Activity Center and Noble Family Performing Arts Center. Other major gift campaigns by the School have helped establish the Midway Campus and support the Parish Endowment.

Endowment

The main goal of each Parish book fair is similar to the main goal of the library - to provide access to materials that will enrich our students’ lives. The Hillcrest campus hosts a book fair around the winter holidays each year, and the Midway campus hosts a book fair near the end of the school year to encourage reading throughout the summer.

The Parish Athletic Booster Club (PABC), The Arts People (TAP) and sySTEMs (supporting your STEM students) are parent-led clubs focused on fundraising and fellowship. Their mission is to support Parish Panthers and their passions!
