Volunteers in Plano (VIP) works in partnership with City staff, corporate and civic organizations, faith-based groups, schools, universities and non-profits to develop effective community programs to support and benefit the changing needs of this vibrant city while elevating City services, programs, and events and raising public awareness about volunteerism.For more information, visit

Plano Stages are places to enjoy music, dance, theatre, and shows of every kind. The Courtyard Theater, the Cox Building Playhouse and the Amphitheater at Oak Point Park are state-ofthe-art cultural facilities featuring productions by local performers and touring acts. Calendars for all three venues can be found at planostages.com. These facilities are also available for rent by non-profit organizations, corporate groups and the public. PAVILION RESERVATIONS (Please note pavilions are not available for reservations until further notice.)

When hosting large functions or events, ten of the City’s larger community pavilions may be reserved in advance. Reservations are accepted for one of two time slots - 8am to 2pm or 3pm to 9pm - for all locations except Bob Woodruff North and Windhaven Meadows Park. These pavilions are available for reservation between the hours of 8am and 9pm and only one reservation is accepted per day. Reservations are accepted up to one year in advance. Pavilions available for your function are at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve, Bob Woodruff Park, Hoblitzelle Park, Oak Point Park & Nature Preserve, Old Shepard Place Park, Preston Meadow Park, Russell Creek Park, Shawnee Park, Willowcreek Park and Windhaven Meadows Park. A nonrefundable reservation fee and a refundable deposit are required at the time of booking.
