The average route length for IPT is more than that of public transport which depicts the dependence of users on IPT. These modes operate on major hubs like metro stations, IFFCO chowk, Bus Stand and Rajiv Chowk. Private owners- Bolero, Tata magic operate on Manesar – MG road, IFFCO chowk route in absence of frequent bus service towards Manesar. proposed
•
2.5m wide footpath is proposed for pedestrian safety.
•
Also, the position of footpaths has been changed towards the outer edges to prevent accidents.
•
The median width has been increased to 3m in order to provide sufficient distance between the two roads and also space for sufficient greens.
•
The carriageway has been divided proportionately between vehicular road, service lane, pedestrian footpath and cycle track with proper kerb stones to separate roads, paths and greens.
•
Addition of cycle track in the proposed section promotes usage of eco-friendly vehicles and also to prevent accidents.
•
Provision of 2-single armed street light on both sides for sufficient lighting.
•
More provision of green space.
•
Saucer drains along roads for sufficient drainage and also to prevent waterlogging

TRANSPORTATION PERFOMANCE
Existing Level of Services for Transport Infrastructure at Gurugram
• Supply of buses needs to be increased • Bus Routes are not covered in many parts of the city • Poor pedestrian facilities at intersections , no availability of footpath etc • Lack of adequate NMT facilities. • delays on roads, average travel speed is 1/3 of free flow speed or lower due to extensive queuing at critical intersections and inappropriate signal timing. • Paid parking spaces provided in the city need to be improved upon and to cater to the demand some differential parking rates along the NH-8 has to be adopted.
