he Paradise Ridge Chamber of Commerce and its members are busily planning all manner of festive treats for the season.
The Twelve Days of Christmas Ridgefest & Ridgebucks
This year, Paradise Ridge Chamber of Commerce gift certificates are getting a makeover! To increase awareness about the importance of local shopping, your Chamber is introducing an attractive walletsized “Ridgebucks” gift card. Ridgebucks make the perfect gift for any occasion, and are available in several denominations in the Chamber office at 5550 Skyway.
The Twelve Days of Christmas Ridgefest drives consumers to local businesses to shop, enjoy holiday décor, and enter a $1000 Merchant Ridgebucks giveaway. Ridge shoppers drop entry forms at local businesses; each visit equals an opportunity to win one of ten $100 Ridgebucks redeemable at nearly 100 chamber member merchants as well as other great prizes. Located in beautiful Terry Ashe Park at 6626 Skyway, the Paradise Ice Rink is the only outdoor ice rink in the region. The Park will be transformed into a winter wonderland through January 10, 2016. With ice skating sessions, music, food, and holiday themes, the Rink provides activities for the entire family. aradise Hospice’s annual holiday benefit tree lighting ceremony will take place Thursday, December 3 at 5:30 pm with refreshments, followed by a short program and music at 6:00 pm. At 6:30 pm, we will move to the Hospice House with candles where the trees will be lit. Light Up a Life, an annual event open to the entire community, offers a wonderful program to welcome the holiday season. Held at the LDS Church next to the Hospice House, 1275 Bille Road, the event features: • Festive Music • Special readings • A family tribute • A Holiday sing-along • A time for lighting candles • The Customary tree lighting This year, your stars will adorn the living room tree at the Hospice House, where they will be protected from the weather. There will also be companion stars with no names attached on the luminaries outside. After the tree lighting the Hospice House living room will be open to view the tree, have sweet snacks and again visit with friends. A community tradition, each year Paradise Hospice lights up many luminaries, sharing the memories of loved ones who have passed away or shining bright to honor living friends or family members.

Please bring canned goods to the parade, and look for bins around town to donate non-perishable food to the Ridge’s hungry families. Trucks will stage at Thomas Ace Hardware on the corner of Clark and Pearson beginning at 4:30p.m. on Saturday, December 5. The Clampers’ Wienie Wagon will be on hand for hot snacks.
Hospice House honors loved ones with lighted trees and luminaries during the holidays.

Light Up a Life is a great way to celebrate the holiday season while contributing to a noble cause. This event is an important campaign to ensure the continual support of Paradise Hospice in the community. Paradise Hospice provides compassionate medical care, counseling and spiritual support to hundreds of terminally ill patients and their families throughout Butte County. A $35 donation to Paradise Hospice will be acknowledged with a personalized star and shining luminary, remembering those special to you. A $100 donation will be acknowledged with a personalized star, shining luminary and a custom-designed porcelain Angel ornament as a keepsake for your own tree. Your special donation of $250 or more will be acknowledged as an event Sponsor on the Light Up a Life program and on the Hospice House appre-

Paradise Hospice House is the only hospice house in Butte County, and we are blessed to be able to offer inpatient care- thanks to the support of our community. Throughout the month of December, Paradise Hospice will be decorated with holiday lights and luminaries to celebrate Light Up A Life. Celebrate the holiday season by taking a drive by the Paradise Hospice House campus, located at 1289 Bille Road in Paradise. Elks Honor Veterans at Pearl Harbor Night Paradise Elks Lodge 2026 invites Ridge veterans and their immediate families to Pearl Harbor Night on Monday, December 7 at Paradise Elks Lodge Grand Hall, 1100 Elk Lane. Limited seating available. Veterans, to reserve your complimentary ticket, present your military ID at the Elks from 9:00AM – 12noon, Tuesday through Friday. The program will include a presentation of colors by the California Conservation Corps, a musical interlude from Paradise High School Chorus, and a dinner of Italian style meat loaf, mashed potatoes, vegetable, salad and dessert.
