O

n September 15, 2016, Downtown Paradise hosted its first Art and Wine Walk, Wine in the Pines. The public was invited to enjoy everything downtown Paradise has to offer while sampling local wine, food and art. Ticket sales benefitted the Boys and Girls Club of the North Valley and its “giving kids the tools they need for back to school” program. Wine in the Pines took place at businesses located in the downtown area, generally Skyway between Pearson and Elliot. Paradise businesses outside the downtown area occupied booth spaces. Ticket holders collected a map of participating businesses, wrist band and wine glass. Tickets sold for $20 allowed attendees to taste wine provided by local wineries at 6 participating business locations. Ticket holders also visited participating businesses offering food and special promotions. In addition, local artists displayed their art in participating business locations. Representatives from select wineries were on hand to pour the wine and provide information on the wine provided. The goal of this event was not only to

canned goods. Please bring canned goods to the parade, and look for bins around town to donate non-perishable food to the Ridge’s hungry families. Trucks will stage at Thomas Ace Hardware beginning at 4:30p.m. on Saturday, December 3. The Clampers’ Weinie Wagon will be on hand for hot snacks. The parade will progress from Pearson up Skyway, turn around in the Holiday Plaza Parking lot, and then drive back down Skyway. Trophies will be awarded in the small and large truck categories. To enter your truck, contact Eric Hegenbart at 873-2692 or fishheadecv711@yahoo.com.
