ABOUT LAHMACUN RADIO:

“Lahmacun radio covers different subcultures of the capital city of Hungary and it also involves numerous international show hosts, such as from Brussels, Edinburgh, Berlin, San Francisco, Belgrade, and others. Also, we directly cooperate with other web radios such as with Periszkóp Rádió (Hungary), Radio Kapital (Poland) and Cashmere radio (Germany), and recently also with IDA radio though the Easterndaze x Berlin: Community Radio Week project. The project included a week-long collaborative programming (including swapping shows and moderators) and ended in a live broadcast session and a panel talk about the issue of community radios.

Our studio is located inside Kazán, a space located in the 8th district of Budapest, on the edge of a former factory, in a multi-cultural (and mostly poor) neighborhood. Kazán gives a home to various culturally and socially active projects such as media, art, economy, sport and even a kindergarten. “
