6 BIG REASONS Community Character TO LOVE LIVING IN OUR SMALL TOWN
1.
Traditional Values
Small Town Hospitality
Small towns tend to have a certain way of doing things, and still value respect and being kind.
Unlike cities where you are a stranger to everyone, our small town is known for a friendly community and neighbors.
More Local Support
2.
Lower Cost of Living
$1,200/mo
You Count
People still take pride in the community and feel responsible for the town. This means easier ways to: have a say, lend a hand and volunteer, make friends and create the kind of community you want.
Unlike online giants where one never knows where your money ends up, Osceola business owners are real people that live here and KEEP $ spent here IN the community-like providing free ice cream at community events.
Quality Living
Shorter Commute Time
Average rent of a big city studio or Average rent of a two one-bedroom apartment bedroom house in Osceola
more time to do what you want every day
$850/mo
Easier to Raise Children
Great Schools Our school system provides a premiere education by inspiring students, caring staff, and positively impacting our community.
Affordable living and safety in community just makes it easier
3. Downtown with a Vibe Walkable
Walk to get your laundry, groceries, car washed, hair cut and hardware supplies all within blocks of each other.
Vibrant
Designated as a prestigious Main Street Community, Osceola values history and culture. Local business owners create a town with charm and vibrancy.

4. Health & Well Being Live Well
Eat Well
People who live in small towns have lower stress and live longer because of the slower pace of life and sense of belonging. They find more social connections, less traffic or noisy crowds, and lots of fresh air & green space. Runners, walkers, and bikers find easy access to awesome fitness centers, fewer stoplights, lots of trails and country roads to help be active.
Get the freshest, local food straight from 20+ farms, markets, and CSAs, all within minutes from Osceola.
Music & Art Appreciation Restored barn that hosts theater, art and music events.

MEET
Jessica and w e r d n A
Moving to Osceola “Osceola proved to me that a small town can be robust, vibrant, and full of things to do. Apparently, this cool little river town was the close-knit community we have been looking for all along.“ – JESSICA STERN
10
Andrew came to Osceola fresh out of college to work at Bending Branches. After meeting his wife, Jessica, they lived in the Twin Cities. Andrew was commuting over 45 minutes each way to Osceola. On weekends, they loved driving up to the St. Croix Valley to go hiking, visiting the shops and restaurants and attending events around town. Eventually, the couple realized they needed to move and after much searching, they found a place to live in Osceola. Jessica was able to take on an office manager position at Osceola Family Dental, and Andrew continues in his role as Marketing Manager at Branches. Now without the commute, they have been able to enjoy more of their favorite things for a healthy lifestyle. At least once a week you can find them out on the trails, down by the waterfall, riding their bikes, or out kayaking on the river. They got a membership at Krooked Kreek Golf Course and at Wild River Fitness. The Farmers Market keeps them stocked with great veggies and flowers. The two of them really love knowing their chiropractor, accountant, hairdresser, dry cleaner, and doctors out in the community. And with the help of Chamber connections, they have met so many new friends who care about this community.
