Welcome to Red Cross swim lessons, our fun learn-to-swim program for children ages 4 months and older. This program helps swimmers develop the five main swimming strokes—front crawl, back crawl, elementary back stroke, breast stroke, and sidestroke—which supports learning how to be safe in, on, and around the water. This program increases fitness and endurance through fun activities. For lesson dates and times, visit online.

Teen Tours offer youth an opportunity to hop on the Panorama bus and explore the hottest locations this island has to offer! This Pro-D day we will be heading to the downtown core of Victoria to be tourists in our own town! Our group will have exclusive access to the Quazaar arcade room followed by an afternoon at Fisherman’s wharf and the inner harbor. Detailed schedules will be posted 1 week in advance. Welcome to Sport Fundamentals for your pre-school aged child! All abilities are encouraged and welcomed as we spend each week learning and practicing a new physical skill to use in games and sports for all levels such as running, jumping, throwing, catching, and kicking! PARENT & CHILD OUTDOOR SOCCER 2 - 4 yrs Richardson Sport coaches develop competence and confidence on the field in these parent & child soccer classes. Children are taught the fundamental skills necessary to excel in soccer. These include throw-ins, dribbling, trapping, passing, goalie skills and more. Classes are dedicated to skill development and putting those skills to work in an exciting, non-competitive game. Parent participation is required in 2-4yr old class.

Woofers™ Pup Essentials class is aimed at teaching your pup starting at 12 - 14 weeks (or your older dog) basic obedience cues/behaviours in order to have a wellbehaved member of the family. If you adopt a dog from a rescue, your dog may not have had any prior training, so these classes will be ideal. Got a young dog going through the teenage “can’t hear you” stage? These classes can help to re-establish the basic training that your pup was taught previously and get him listening to you again. Advance Care Planning is an umbrella of documents and conversations and is important for every adult, of every age, and every stage of life. This is a two-part program: a 90-minute ACP learning session with Orderly Affairs; you will then receive a digital workbook that provides step-by-step exercises that help you put your own advance care planning in place. Coach Chris Swift-Fry will take you through the steps to complete your first sprint triathlon.

Gentle Stretch

Register for a one week introduction to Nordic Polewalking for beginners. This is a fast growing form of outdoor exercise. It affords a whole body training effect with reduced joint impact. It is suitable for low impact training, cross-training, rehab and recreation. It also simply enhances your walking experience by improving cardio fitness with the use of poles. Each course will take place outside for three sessions over one week. Poles will be provided and can also be purchased from the instructor.

Participants are encouraged to wait untl after the class starts to purchase poles as some poles are not conducive to the Nordic technique.

This class is aimed at regaining your mobility while slowly building strength and reawakening the power of your 650 muscles. It is designed for those who have atrophy-related stiffness, frozen shoulder, chronic aches and pains, or who are beginning to exercise after a long sedentary period.

This course is designed for those who have completed the Beginners Tai Chi and are transitioning from Beginners to the full health benefits of on-going continuing Tai Chi practice. The classes are enriching and will add to your Tai Chi abilities and experience by building on the foundations learned as a Beginner. Non-contact & non-competitive form of Tai Chi practice.

Cultivate and increase flexibility, strength, playful mobility, balance and breath awareness. You will be led through a sequence of yoga positions focusing on opening up the hips, quads, and hamstrings. Stretches will also focus on the neck, shoulders and chest, as well as strengthening the arms and lower back. To promote muscle toning, light weights will be used on occasion. Enjoy a calming initial and final deep relaxation portion. Wear comfortable clothing and bring water. All levels and abilities welcome to join.

This program offers group exercise designed for people with arthritis, osteoporosis, joint replacement, and other chronic conditions who want to get moving and feel better. You’ll love the supportive group atmosphere of this program. Must be able to get in and out of a chair without assistance. 30 percent of exercises in class will be standing.

Developed by BC Women’s Hospital, this is a fallprevention program consisting of strength, balance and stretching exercises that are safe for those with osteoporosis. You will also improve your posture by strengthening and stretching specific muscle groups, which can reduce pain and other consequences of poor body alignment.
