We’ve made it – the two year mark! When we first started Pangyao magazine back in October 2021, still in the midst of the pandemic, we knew we were taking a risk; other migrant-focused publications had already ceased their print runs, and there was still no clear return to normality in sight. But ultimately, that only strengthened our resolve to bring our new print magazine to the migrant community.
What a journey it’s been since then, and we’d like to take the opportunity to once again thank Steve Ellul and the team at Cedar Hong Kong, who helped us realise our vision with their bold and beautifully designed first issue. They not only provided us with a solid foundation, but also taught us valuable lessons along the way; over time, this allowed us to develop our own style and identity, building upon the original aesthetic without compromising our own.
Maraming salamat po!
