Dear Fellow Cruiser,
Welcome to the latest edition of Founders, Panache Cruises’ exclusive magazine for our most loyal customers. Our last issue was met with fantastic feedback, and this one is packed with 20+ in-depth offers from some of the best luxury and ultra-luxury cruise line partners in the industry. In case you missed it, we’re thrilled to share that we were recently named Best Luxury Cruise Agency of the Year at the 2025 TTG Luxury Awards!
One thing that won us that award is our unparalleled relationships with cruise line partners.
As true industry insiders, we engage with our cruise line partners daily, staying in the loop with all the latest news and developments. The strength of these relationships means we can offer you exclusive insights and pricing that you won’t find anywhere else. Take Explora Journeys, for example— we were the number one agent for selling that brand in 2024, thanks to the strong connection we’ve built with their incredible team. The same goes for other prestigious brands like Regent Seven Seas, Oceania Cruises, Azamara Cruises, Seabourn, and Silversea!

We pledge to raise £50,000 for Reuben’s Retreat in 2025.
Over the last five years, Panache Cruises has always strived to give back to the communities around us. We have used our platform and resources to support those in need, both at home and abroad. We take immense pride in our charity work— and this year, our team is tackling its biggest challenge yet!
In 2024 the Panache Cruises team took part in the “Race to the Stones” ultramarathon. The race followed Britain’s oldest road, the Ridgeway, a route that has been used by herdsmen and travellers since prehistoric times. The event took place on a beautiful day in one of Southern England’s most remote and unspoilt areas, guiding our team through some of the country’s most ancient landscapes. The race finished at the 5,000-year-old Avebury Standing Stones, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Team Panache ran 50 km and made it back north just in time to watch England play in the Euro 2024 Final!
Encouraged by that success and buoyed by a desire to do good, in 2025 a group of near-athletic cruise experts will take on their greatest challenge yet: Mt. Kilimanjaro. As the largest free-standing mountain in the world and the highest peak in Africa, Kilimanjaro offers six days of gruelling physical endurance, altitude sickness, and exposure to the elements. While the climb will be tough, it’s all for a great cause. We aim to raise up to £50,000 for our chosen charity in 2025, Reuben’s Retreat.
Reuben’s Retreat is a safe, space; a place where a friendly smile and warm voice offer support. It’s a sanctuary in
the Peak District with two core missions: to support families of children living with medical complexities and to offer solace to families who have experienced the loss of a child. They’re currently raising the final £1 million they need to convert a wing of their gorgeous Victorian building into a place where families can enjoy truly accessible holidays. We are committed to being with them every step of the way.. Bring on Kilimanjaro!

Explora Journeys is the epitome of luxury—comfort, class and style that would match any hotel you could find on land. When we think about luxury, we think about cost–Rolex stores at sea don’t give away their famous watches for free. But in the cruise industry, ultra-luxury means all-inclusive. No hidden costs with incredible onboard experiences.
To prove our point, we put two cruises next to each other: a 10-night Celebrity Mediterranean sailing which costs £3,250pp and an 8-night Explora Journeys Mediterranean sailing which costs less at £3,088pp.
You get more for your money with Explora Journeys.

John and Sue Lockwood reporting live from the Mediterranean
The day has dawned bright and clear in Athens and we are about to board Seabourn Encore on a tour of some of the smaller Greek islands, as well as Italy, Montenegro and Croatia. Boarding is fast, efficient and effortless, and being greeted by our first glass of champagne sets the scene as we are shown to our suite before enjoying lunch in Colonnade. Outside, of course, at the stern of the ship. Here we feast on fresh seafood and sip French rosé whilst meeting new and interesting fellow passengers. Everybody is wonderful, and the intimate atmosphere on board this Seabourn ship enables us to make new friends so easily.
The next morning I am sitting quietly on our expansive forward-facing balcony, slipping slowly into the bay in Delphi— a beautiful Greek mainland small town where we will anchor for the day. I am mesmerised by the sound of the clear blue water lapping against the hull as the sun rises over the hills beyond. It
is only 6.40am, and I’m excited for our Seabourn adventure to continue for another day.
Our itinerary is packed with beauty, history and mythology and seems to get better each day. Last night was the (only) formal night, when the captain and his senior officers introduced themselves to passengers in a fun and relaxed way. We dined in Solis, brand-new for 2024, the only restaurant aboard which you have to reserve and experience only once, but John and I feel that it’s the best food we’ve eaten on any cruise ship. You can try the fabulous curated cocktails in the Solis bar any evening. They are the best on board, bar none.
We dined on wonderful seared scallops followed by an entrecôte de boeuf for two with a strawberry dessert to finish—and it’s all complimentary! The service was exemplary, with Fabian the maître d’ ensuring everyone received
the best attention. This restaurant is an experience not to be missed. Tonight is the deck party so we expect lots of fun and dancing under the stars.
Tomorrow another small Greek mainland tender port awaits, the sailaway at 5pm will be enhanced by a live performance of operatic and modern songs by the Seabourn singers. But this afternoon the captain announced that we could have a Marina Day, so we headed down to the marina platform at the stern and we took a double kayak straight off the ship. It was a great experience!
Last night the sailaway from Kotor was magnificent. Again, to live music but this time with duelling guitar—music from the Gypsy Kings to the Eagles. Everyone sang along.
This has been our first experience with Seabourn for 5 years—and we can’t wait for the next!

James and his family attended the christening of Silver Ray last year. We asked for his initial verdict on the ship!
“Wow” is one word to get us started! Heather and I were initially captured by the stunning, innovative, asymmetrical design which really pushes the boundaries of ultra-luxury cruising and takes Silversea into a new era. Silver Ray does, of course, join her sister ship Silver Nova which launched in 2023, and is equally impressive. Silversea have managed to achieve a significantly greater connection with the sea and destinations. There are definite blurred lines between the inside and outside on this stunningly well-presented ship—there are windows in the theatre, our bed points out to the sea, the lifts are on the outside of the ship, there are
floor to ceiling windows in what feels like every public areas and there is just so much space.
Traditional Silversea customers will need to prepare themselves for this evolution, whilst those of you who are used to luxury or ultra-luxury cruising elsewhere should consider Nova or Ray as a future cruise holiday. My parents, who have seen most of the world on a cruise ship over the last 25 years, took their first Silversea cruise on Silver Nova a few weeks before this christening. It got their seal of approval, and when pushed they couldn’t name a better cruise ship from their 40+ years of experience.
