PANACHE CRUISES James Cole — one of the most recognised names in the cruise industry — launched Panache Cruises in 2020. Guided by one principle, ‘Nothing is too much trouble’, he wanted to disrupt the industry and do things differently. Fast forward to the present day, and it’s exactly that ethos that still drives us forward. We exist to provide a world-class luxury cruising experience, from your first interaction with us, right through to your return from your cruise and beyond. We know you want to deal with an expert cruise connoisseur, dedicated to you — so that’s what we are. We know you want a truly unique experience, not a ready-made holiday, so we make that happen. We know you want unrivalled financial security and complete confidence that your money is in the right hands — and our ATOL-approved gives you just that. The list goes on. The truth is, booking a luxury or ultraluxury cruise has been too difficult for too long, with archaic phone systems, multiple points of contact and significant amounts of time spent on hold. We take away all the fuss and put pleasure back at the centre of the process. We give you the luxury booking experience your luxury cruise deserves.

All of them are lovely, engaging and willing to do whatever it takes to get your dream holiday booked. You’ll only ever be assigned one cruise connoisseur. They’ll get to know you, understand exactly what you’re looking for and make personalised recommendations based on what you like. Norway's Masterpiece
3
Norway's Masterpiece No journey compares to the Norwegian Coastal Route. For over 130 years, it has transported people and goods to Norway’s iconic ports and deep fjords, sharing stories only this route can tell. For those who lived in tiny, isolated villages, the “Post Ship Route” was a lifeline. It brought fresh supplies, long-awaited letters, and a vital connection to the wider world. Today, our ships proudly carry this tradition forward. While the world has grown smaller and technology has advanced, our mission remains unchanged: delivering essential cargo, supporting coastal communities, and maintaining the vital connections that this route has provided for generations. Our ships take you where larger cruise liners simply can’t.
Here, nature is always close by. Majestic mountains line the coast, and the sky transforms into a canvas of colors, day and night. Everything on board our ships is thoughtfully designed to reflect these breathtaking surroundings – from the colors of the interiors to the art on the walls and the flavors on your plate. There’s space here to find peace. Sit still and let the world glide by – sparkling fjords and small coastal communities that come into view, then fade away. Wherever you are on board, you’ll find a place to lean back, breathe deeply, and simply take it all in.
Authentic Norwegian Coastal Heritage
Authentic Norwegian Coastal Heritage Founded by Norwegian industrial leader Per Sævik, Havila Voyages carries forward a legacy of sustainability, local roots, and authentic coastal experiences.
A life shaped by the coast Per Sævik, now 85, is recognized as one of Norway’s most respected industrial leaders. From humble beginnings as a fisherman’s son on Remøy, he built shipping, offshore, and travel companies that created thousands of jobs and strengthened coastal communities. His family founded Havila Voyages and remains actively involved, and his values and business philosophy are still at the heart of the company. As a six-year-old, Sævik rowed alone across open water to Fosnavåg. When his mother asked why, he answered: “I just wanted to see if I could do it.” That outlook – to try, to push boundaries, to dare – has guided him ever since. From fishing boats to offshore fleets, from local initiatives to founding Havila Voyages, he has built enterprises that created thousands of jobs and strengthened coastal communities for decades.

Authentic Norwegian Coastal Heritage

We Know the Norwegian Coast On board, you’ll be welcomed by a Scandinavian crew who speak Norwegian, know the coastline intimately, and communicate in several languages.
Local and authentic Havila Voyages works with local suppliers all along the coast – from excursions to the ingredients served on board. The food is short-travelled and rooted in coastal traditions, shaped by the sea and land over generations. This creates experiences that are both tasteful and sustainable.
Thriving coastal communities We are committed to supporting strong local communities. By choosing Havila Voyages, you contribute to thriving and resilient communities along the Norwegian Coast – in line with the values our founder has always stood for.
When you see the "Made in Norway" mark from Innovation Norway, you can trust that the product is primarily developed or manufactured in Norway and meets strict standards for responsibility and sustainability.
Welcome Aboard

Welcome Aboard the New Ships of the Norwegian Coast Now, you can experience the traditional coastal route – and the very best of Norway – aboard award-winning, forward-thinking ships powered by batteries and natural gas. We know Norway: its people, culture, and stunning coastline. Out of respect for nature, we have built four ships powered by natural gas and batteries. This is just one of the many reasons why we can offer coastal voyages with a lower environmental impact. As important as the sustainability of our ships is the personal service and hospitality on board. Our unique dining concept, which changes in harmony with the landscapes we sail past, also ranks highly on the list! Havila Voyages’ ships are designed to make the most of your journey along Norway’s spectacular coastline. This includes spacious cabins and floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows in all common areas, so you can admire the nature,
Northern Lights, or Midnight Sun from wherever you are on board. We’re here for you. Our goal is to make your journey truly special. That’s why we genuinely care about your well-being and want to ensure you have everything you need for a rewarding, enriching, and memorable experience with us. Our staff are our most valuable resource. Spring Voyage in Geirangerfjord – Exclusively with Havila Voyages From 1 April Spring marks the beginning of fjord season – exclusively with Havila Voyages! While we also sail to Geirangerfjord during the summer months, April and May offer a unique opportunity to experience the UNESCO-protected fjord landscape awakening after winter. As the only cruise line sailing here during spring, we offer a peaceful and pristine experience, well before the high season. While the waterfalls roar with melting snow and the light makes the mountainsides glow, we silently sail in on battery power. We are proud to already meet the authorities’ zero-emission requirements in the UNESCO World Heritage fjords, a milestone we first achieved in June 2022.
Our Voyages
10
Day 1
Day 4
Bergen
Brønnøysund → Sandnessjøen → Nesna → Ørnes → Bodø → Stamsund → Svolvær
The voyage starts in Bergen, the colorful capital of western Norway, where you can explore the UNESCO-listed Bryggen warehouses, ride the Fløibanen funicular for scenic views, indulge in fresh seafood at the fish market, or wander the lively harbor’s charming streets and quays. Bergen is the gateway to the Norwegian fjords and the start of your coastal adventure.
Day 2
As we journey further north, we’ll celebrate crossing the Arctic Circle with a ceremony before exploring the Arctic regions. Witness the Midnight Sun during the summer months or see the Northern Lights illuminate the winter sky. Encounter the aweinspiring power of the world’s strongest tidal current, and spot the majestic sea eagles. In the evenings, you can explore the Lofoten fishing villages, admire the steep mountains, and learn about Viking history and heritage.
Florø → Måløy → Torvik → Ålesund → Geiranger 1/ Hjørundfjorden 2 → Ålesund → Molde
Day 5
On the morning of the second day, you can greet the Havila Voyages headquarters near Torvik before arriving in Ålesund, known for its art nouveau architecture. During the summer months, you have the option to continue on to the stunning Geirangerfjord, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to witness its dramatic waterfalls and steep mountain landscapes. During the autumn months, we visit the untouched and majestic Hjørundfjord.
Stokmarknes → Sortland → Risøyhamn → Harstad → Finnsnes → Tromsø → Skjervøy As we continue through the narrow fjords and wild mountains, we’ll arrive in Tromsø, a city with a rich history associated with hunting, fishing, and polar expeditions. Tromsø is also a gateway to the land of the Sami, Norway’s indigenous people. Meeting the Sami and learning about their culture, including their unique connection with reindeer, is a truly unforgettable experience.
Day 6 Hammerfest → Havøysund → Honningsvåg → Kjøllefjord → Mehamn → Berlevåg This is as far north as you can get — by land and sea. For many, the visit to the North Cape is a highlight and a goal for voyages along the Norwegian Coast. Up here, in the polar landscape, nature is at its harshest and most desolate, but between bare plains and rugged cliffs, people cling on and reap nature’s bounty – and you can have a taste of the catch. How about some king crab?
Day 3
Day 7
Kristiansund → Trondheim → Rørvik
Båtsfjord → Vardø → Vadsø → Kirkenes
It is morning when we dock in the historic city of Trondheim, which was founded over a thousand years ago. The Nidaros Cathedral is the city’s major landmark. Furthermore, it is Norway’s national shrine and one of the largest cathedrals in northern Europe. After our visit here, the voyage continues towards northern Norway.
Congratulations, you have now reached the easternmost point of your voyage! The border with Russia is only a few kilometers away, and you may notice that road signs in Kirkenes are written in both Norwegian and Russian. Consider joining one of our excursions to visit the border, or venture to the Snow Resort, where everything is crafted from ice and snow for a unique and memorable experience.

Our Voyages
11
Day 10 Bodø → Ørnes → Sandnessjøen → Brønnøysund → Rørvik At this juncture of our journey, we have ventured so far south that we have left the polar lands behind and crossed the Arctic Circle. However, during winter, you may still witness the Northern Lights illuminating the night sky, while summer brings the magical Midnight Sun. As we sail, we’ll pass by numerous small islands, islets, and skerries, including the unique Torghatten mountain, which features a hole in its center. If you’re up for it, consider joining us for a hike on the mountain and exploring the cavern.
Day 8 Mehamn → Kjøllefjord → Honningsvåg → Havøysund → Hammerfest → Øksfjord → Skjervøy → Tromsø As we sail west and south, the polar landscape transforms, giving way to towering peaks. In the evening, we’ll arrive in Tromsø, known as “The Paris of the North,” where you can attend a midnight concert in the Tromsø Cathedral or take a stroll in the stunning Midnight Sun or under the mesmerizing Northern Lights.
Day 9 Finnsnes → Harstad → Risøyhamn → Sortland → Stokmarknes → Svolvær → Stamsund Next, we’ll return to the stunning and picturesque Vesterålen and Lofoten Islands. We will enter the Vesterålen region in the morning, and in the evening, we visit Lofoten. Along the coastline, you’ll discover chalky, white sandy beaches alongside charming fishing villages, which still thrive on a vibrant fishing industry. The locals rely on coastal ships for everyday transportation. If the weather permits, we’ll venture into the narrow Trollfjord.
Day 11 Trondheim → Kristiansund → Molde We’ll sail through the vast Trondheim fjord, flanked by rolling farmland on either side, before reaching the coast and the open sea once more. If you wish to disembark, Kristiansund offers the opportunity for a scenic bus tour along the Atlantic Ocean Road, considered one of the world’s most beautiful drives. The road winds along islets and skerries, and after the tour, you can rejoin us in Molde.
Day 12 Ålesund →Torvik → Måløy → Florø → Bergen On the final day of your journey, we’ll take you through a varied coastal landscape that features rugged rocky mountains and an intricate network of straits and waterways between countless islands. The magnificent fjords and glaciers are located further inland. Our voyage concludes in Bergen, but you have the opportunity to join us for one last adventure – a captivating excursion through the city’s history, flavors, and breathtaking views. We hope these new memories will be cherished, and we eagerly await the chance to welcome you back on board in the future.

Our Trademarks
An Award-Winning Experience
It’s not just about getting from A to B – it’s about experiencing the coastline, the culture, and the small magical moments along the way. When we receive awards, it’s because we take the time. We dedicate time to everything – from developing the world’s most environmentally friendly coastal route ships to creating menus inspired by Norwegian culinary traditions and local ingredients.
It’s the people along the coast who have taught us the value of doing things properly. Generations who have lived off the sea have shown us why we must take care of what we have, and this is something we carry with us in everything we do. Perhaps that’s why we’ve received several awards – not because we do something fancy, but because we care. About the coastline. About the people. And about the future. These awards confirm that we’re doing something right, and they motivate us to keep improving.

It’s a time to slow down and take in everything around you – from local flavours to cultural traditions celebrating the harvest. Excursions offer views of colourful forests and tranquil fjords, while the coastal towns invite you with events that reflect the charm of the season.

When Can I See It?
What Is It?
Season
Science
The Northern Lights season begins with the clear October evenings and continues into the snowy days of winter. January, February, and March keep the magic alive as we witness the gradually returning daylight.
The Northern Lights occur when electrically charged particles from the sun collide with Earth’s atmosphere. Here, they interact with oxygen and nitrogen, releasing energy that we see as light. The colors vary depending on the altitude where these reactions take place, creating everything from green to red and purple hues in the sky.
Big Impressions, Smaller Carbon Footprint
Big Impressions, Smaller Carbon Footprint "We navigate through a World Heritage site, and we hope that future generations will do the same," said Per Sævik, founder of Havila Voyages. This is why we hold a profound respect for the nature and environment that surrounds us.

The Ocean - Our Source of Life Pure water – Fresh air – Unspoiled scenery – Silence… In the Norwegian fjords you can find it all, and there is nothing we desire more than letting it stay that way forever. That’s why Havila Voyages is so concerned with focusing on sustainability in everything we do – from the way our four coastal cruise ships are built, to the way we run our business. We believe that coastal voyages can play a role in protecting our planet and its biodiversity, simply because they connect us with nature and people on a whole new level. We sincerely want our guests to connect with the environments that we sail through, and to make sure that our voyages represent everything we stand for.
Batteries for silent, comfortable sailings up to 4 hours with zero emissions.
It is exceedingly important that we keep in mind what the ocean does for us. The ocean covers more than 70 percent of our planet, and we depend on it to maintain life, to create jobs, and to connect with the world. At the same time, we cannot have a regulated climate without the ocean. Did you know that it currently absorbs between 30 and 50 percent of the CO2 released in the atmosphere? Havila Voyages' ships are equipped with large battery packs, allowing us to sail for up to four hours straight with zero emissions. This means you can visit sensitive fjords, such as Geirangerfjord, without worrying about your environmental footprint. The ocean is our planet’s heart and lungs, and we want to do our part in taking care of it.
NOx cut by 87 % and SOx cut by 100 % due to innovative ship design and technology.
CO2 cut by 38% with our plug-in hybrid operation using natural gas, batteries and energy efficiency.
Sustainable Living on Board The quality of life is all about putting love into the details, being close to nature and to each other. At Havila Voyages, we aim to take our guests out of their daily lives and restore their essential connection to the natural world. We like to show consideration for our environment in everything we do, including how we run our hotels and restaurants on board the ships. That is why you will not find a lot of disposable products such as plastic or paper on board. Instead, our guests are encouraged to refill their own water bottles with clean drinking water from one of our water dispensers, and to seek out practical information online or at one of the many information screens around the ship. And of course, one of our helpful staff will always be available to answer your questions.
Ready for the Coast?

Ready for the Coast? The weather in Norway is as varied as the landscape – here are some tips on how to pack for any season. What You Should Pack: Clothing
Equipment
Layering is key to comfort: Start with thin base layers, add warm mid-layers, and top it off with a waterproof outer jacket that can withstand changing weather. Good shoes are also a must – comfortable and weather-resistant shoes or boots that work just as well for city walks as for outdoor adventures. Don’t forget a hat, gloves, and scarf – even in summer, the sea breeze can be chilly.
A daypack is perfect for excursions, with room for a water bottle, snacks, and your camera. Pack a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated, and binoculars to spot details in the landscape. Don’t forget swimwear – whether you’re challenging yourself with a dip in the ice-cold ocean or relaxing in the jacuzzi! Extras
Documents Remember to bring your travel documents, valid ID, and ensure your travel insurance is active.
Pack comfortable clothes for your time on board, and don’t underestimate the importance of sunglasses year-round – they protect against snow glare and the sun’s reflection on the waves.
