The Sherwood School District is the heart of our community. Our schools o er a diverse array of exceptional programs and opportunities designed to foster academic interests and co-curricular pursuits. This year, as a District, we are working to answer our vision question: “How do we inspire a joyful community of learners?”
With a graduation rate of 97% for the class of 2022-2023, our high school ranks among the highest in Oregon. We provide comprehensive Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) programs, which include K-5 STEM education and computer science for grades 6-8. Students can also engage in various disciplines such as construction, metal shop, welding, culinary arts,
business, e-sports, engineering, and agricultural science.
The Sherwood High School campus spans 73 acres. It boasts state-of-the-art facilities for academics, STEM, art, trade education, and athletics, designed to accommodate an increasing student population in the coming years. Our dual-credit program allows eligible high school students to earn college credits at a reduced rate. We have also expanded our Advanced Placement (AP) o erings, which now include AP Human Geography and AP Government.
We take great pride in our Dual Language Immersion program at Hawks View Elementary and looking ahead, we plan to expand to a full-day Pre-Kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year.
As one of the largest employers in the City of Sherwood, the District is home to over 600 dedicated sta members. Whether they are teaching in classrooms, driving school buses, or assisting in the cafeteria, our hardworking sta play a vital role in the success of our students and schools.
The Sherwood School District has cultivated strong partnerships within the community, garnering support for academics, athletics, and the performing arts. Sherwood A Growing Community
During the past year, we have welcomed many new businesses both large and small. Signi cant development has been underway in the Tonquin Employment Area on the east side of Sherwood in an area long planned for new industrial park development. This includes the development of the Tualatin-Sherwood Corporate Park which was constructed by the Trammell Crow Company. This nearly 480,000 square foot corporate park was built in 2022 and has now been completely leased to companies such as Lam Research, NSI Manufacturing, and DW Fritz Automation. Just recently, Schnitzer Properties completed Sherwood Commerce Center Phase 1 which includes 445,000 square feet of new multi-tenant industrial park space. Olympus Controls is one of the rst tenants at Sherwood Commerce Center, a leading robotics and automation company that is now headquartered in Sherwood. The Sherwood Planning Commission recently approved Phases 2 and 3 of Sherwood Commerce Center, which will bring an additional 550,000 square feet of manufacturing and industrial space. The growth of these business parks creates more opportunities for businesses to grow in Sherwood which – in turn – increases the number of jobs in the community and grows the City’s tax base for the continued provision of high-quality municipal services. The City of Sherwood also submitted an Urban Growth Boundary expansion application to Metro for Sherwood West. Sherwood West is a 1,300-acre planning area that is proposed to include approximately 3,100 new homes and 4,500 new jobs, including a hospitality district and technology innovation park.

Our re stations are strategically located throughout our service area, ensuring a quick and immediate response to any situation. TVF&R’s mission is to protect our communities from the hazards that threaten individuals and families. The Marjorie Stewart Senior Community Center has served as a gathering spot and central location for services, meals, entertainment, education, and fun since 1982. The Sherwood Regional Family YMCA is a 55,000 square foot facility o ering swimming, basketball, indoor track, rock climbing, group tness classes, youth leagues, adult pick up sports, a cardio theater, a
free weights area and a wide variety of classes for all ages.
The Sherwood Indoor Field House, a city facility, is open to serve the public with a wide array of activities, including soccer, football, softball and lacrosse.
The Sherwood Ice Arena is an indoor rink open year round providing an outlet for great exercise and enjoyment. Public skating times, lessons, hockey leagues, and more are available.
With décor and a design that re ects the paci c northwest, Langer's Entertainment Center
is a 54,000 square foot, three-story indoor complex of fun. Attractions include a bowling alley, rock climbing wall, laser tag, ropes course and more. Cozy up to the 8-foot diameter replace while enjoying your favorite drink and appetizer.
The Sherwood Rotary initiated its Peace Pole project in 2016 to raise awareness in the community of the need to promote world peace and understanding. There are more than 33 peace poles in and around Sherwood promoting peace in our community and in the world.

Once you immerse yourself in Sherwood, you nd it is one of the most scenic and serene settings in the Portland Metro area. Journey through the picturesque landscape of rich parks, trails, forest, vineyards, and rolling hills.
On the northern edge of Sherwood’s city limits sits the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge. Born of the community’s dream and made possible by citizen support, the Refuge is a place where people of all ages can experience and learn about wildlife and the places they call home. The Refuge is open to the public every day of the week, dawn to dusk, with walking trails and well-mapped hikes naturally woven among the beautiful scenery.

Parks and walking trails wind their way over the 300 acres of open space managed by the City of Sherwood.
Stella Olsen Memorial Park’s natural, wooded setting is a haven for wildlife, while open areas and covered shelter allow for a variety of recreational uses of this nearly 24-acre gem. The park provides a natural setting for numerous community events including Music on the Green and theatrical productions.
Snyder Park is considered the centerpiece of the city’s park system, with a walking path, dog park, baseball elds, an arti cial turf soccer eld and tennis courts. Updated Woodhaven Park includes a park shelter, restrooms, an expanded play structure, basketball court, and
additional parking. Sherwood is home to 10 other parks featuring a mix of styles to enhance both passive and active recreational opportunities.
This last year, the City opened up a new part of the Cedar Creek Trail by Stella Olsen park. Cedar Creak Trail runs through the heart of Sherwood and eventually connect north and south neighborhoods.
Sherwood's newest gathering location is the Robin Hood Festival Plaza, located in old town Sherwood. At one point this was the location of the Robin Hood Theater, but it was taken down due to earthquake damage. It is now a thriving covered community gathering spot for our festivals and other events.
